Had a very pleasant stay. Room was clean and comfortable. Continental breakfast was very good. This is our go to hotel when traveling to Kansas.

Though my first night was adjacent to the elevator and ice machine, which was a bit noisy, the staff was quickly to address it. Within an hour or two of me leaving feed back on how my check in went, they made arrangements for my room to be moved. All the front desk staff I encountered were more than friendly and hospitable. I’ve stayed in a lot of place yet non as accommodating as Wildwood Lodge (Clive, Iowa)!

I was in town for some training in the area. Really enjoyed my stay. nice hotel, room was clean, and staff was very nice. I did enjoy the breakfast that was provided as well. I found it hard to find the entrance to the hotel as it was not marked well since it is hiding behind the Chili's. Overall, a great place to stay. I would stay here again if ever back in the area.

Wildwood Lodge is a very beautiful hotel! The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The decor made us feel like we were in the Adirondacks. Breakfast was included and was very good. The pool was warm and clean. We really enjoyed our stay!

They should have spent a little extra on the material for the curtains they were to short to even cover the window. Let light in all night

The place was perfect! We met up with friends, and the common area provided a cozy atmosphere with couches and a fireplace for us to chat. Staff was friendly and helpful and rooms cutely decorated and, most importantly, clean and comfortable. The location was also great: near the freeway, but felt like in the country. Several good restaurant options were walking distance away.

This hotel is wonderful! Very comfortable, very quiet. Rooms are clean and staff is great. Shower water pressure was a little weak. Overall very happy with our stay.

This was a nice place 30 years ago, managment has not kept it up like they should. Would not take mich to make it nice again. Dont think we will return.

The staff is always super fantastic! The rooms are very nice and clean. The property is very nicely maintained. Restaurants are close and shopping areas are not far away. It’s definitely our preferred place to stay when visiting the Des Moines area.

What a lovely, charming lodge. The outdoor fire pit is welcoming; room is large & clean; breakfastwas a feast.

The cleanest hotel room I’ve been in in for well over a decade. I found out how old this hotel was and impressed me even more! The desk clerk had a 30 year service on her shirt. We checked in about 10:00 PM. She was there wiping down tables in the breakfast area at 8:00 for breakfast. An amazing experience all around!!!

We love the decor, one of the reasons we choose the hotel. The price was fair for the time of our stay. The hotel was clean, we'll kept, the staff friendly and courteous, the free breakfast was simple yet filling and had enough variety to satisfy anyone's wishes for a breakfast to start your day.

Really good overall. Breakfast lacked much for real nutritious high protein and fiber with low sugar options. Powder eggs from a bag and biscuits and gravy is such a 2000 hotel breakfast. Do boiled eggs, milk, water, oatmeal, berries, fruit, nuts. Overall happy but bummed with breakfast options. Grabbed a banana and ran.

One of the best hotels I stay at for work. The staff make all the difference in the stay.

i come to the des moines area every year and always stay here. it is a very homey and calm vibe and i have never had an issue. the staff is friendly and helpful. great area and cute rooms. Only issue i had was trying to check in early which i was not able to do, but they were friendly about it. would stay again

Hesrd dogs baking all the time. Did not make it stay pleasant. We have been her e numerous times and ot wasnice not sure we stay again

Absolutely wonderful!! Tucked away in a nice area, Clive, Iowa, but conveniently right off the expressway. You walk in and it's like your stepping in a lodge. The theme is lodging and camping. There are comfy couches and board games for families to play. There is a beautiful fireplace on one end and the breakfast eating area with a coffee bar(!) at the other. The check-in desk is to your left. Once you check in, you walk to the elevators on your right. After stepping off the elevator you walk a cute cat-walk overlooking the lobby. Here there are tables and chairs you can sit. The rooms are nice, the bed is comfy, the lodging theme continues. I really appreciate microwave and refrigerator! The pool and hot are also very nice. We tried both😀. There were off to the side and quiet. There was a fire pit outside that we weren't able to be there for but it has 10 nice Adirondack chairs placed around it. The daily hot breakfast was wonderful. Such a selection for everyone. Did I mention the coffee bar?😀. I'm a coffee lover. Also, it is open all day. I really appreciate that. I could not find one area of this lodge that needed any touching up or wasn't clean. Whoever is the owner does a fantastic job!👏👏👏 Also, if you are visiting and need a dinner suggestion they are affiliated somehow was Machine Shed Restaurant. Fabulous customer service, fabulous quantities and reasonably priced.
