We had a family of 6 staying (including two kids (4 and 2)) and the in-laws. Given the numbers we booked the 4 bedroom penthouse, and wow it was great! Looking out from the balcony you can see hideaway island and the whole of Mele Bay. It is absolutely spectacular. The staff are super friendly, and showed my kids the pet iguanas. They also had a kids club for a couple of hours each day which was a good break and the kids adored Jacky and Eva. Getting into town wasn't hard, you can walk out to the main road and catch a local bus or call one from the Beach Bar. Speaking of the Beach Bar the food was great and it's a lovely place to watch the sunset (and just a short stroll up the beach). They close early (8:30) so there are no particular issues with noise. The beach in front of the apartments is great for swimming and for little kids. The food we ordered (and cocktails) from the bar at the Apartments were great. When we took off from Pt Vila airport my daughter burst into tears because she didn't want to leave Vanuatu, and that's a reflection of the Vanuatu Beachfront Apartments staff in particular. Just to balance my (very genuine) praise if you are looking for 5 star luxury this isn't the place. The shower needed a good clean and some aspects of the property are a bit tired. But if you want absolute beachfront and super friendly staff and great value overall this is a superb choice. I can't wait to book again.

Loved how this was so close to a safe swimming beach and just a walk across or free transport to Hideaway Island to Snorkel. This is free access to Kayaks, life Jackets, paddle boards. Also has a swimming pool, playground and restaurant and some units having cooking facilities. Highly recommend! Staff are really friendly and helpful 👍🌞👍

Everything we needed in 2 bedroom beachfront apartment...dishwasher, washing machine/dryer, microwave, coffee machine, lots of movie channels, free kayaks, a pool, a cafe.. The beach is right there and the beach bar is a hsort walk away.

Fantastic facilities. Perfect for families. Will probably come back!

We had a fantastic family holiday at Vanuatu Beachfront Apartments. The back 2 bedroom apartment was great for us, as we didn’t need to worry too much about the kids making noise early in the morning and waking other guests. Breakfast being served each morning at our outdoor patio table or by the pool overlooking the beach was a real bonus! The staff were friendly and helpful. The location was great with direct beachfront access to a sandy calm beach, and only 100 metres from the beach bar which has a free fire show, circus and outdoor movie night. The room was cleaned sufficiently daily. There were however a lot of ants, but this is to be expected on a tropical island. The daily cocktail special changed each day and were the cheapest on the island. We hired their driver for two days to take us around the island, and he showed us all the best spots! Cheaper and easier than hiring a car! We definitely recommend for families and hope to stay again!

It was great stay! The staff is the best, very helpful. They organized cake for my partners birthday. It was beautiful surprise for him. You can use paddle boards, kayaks and bicycles for free. Very nice stay! Definitely coming back!!!

This was our second trip to Vanuatu and we picked this hotel for its location. It is right across the bay from Hideaway Island (only a short 5min boat ride and on low tide you can walk over) which is a marine reserve with great snorkeling for the whole family. We picked this hotel as it is a small family run place with only seven rooms, kids playground, pet iguanas (for the kids to hold) and the locals that run and work at the hotel are so friendly and helpful. They have a small bar and eating area where the pool is at the front of the hotel with jugs of cocktails on offer. The local themed BBQ night (which was included in our stay) was lovely, with lots of different foods to choose from and all the staff coming out to join guests for dinner. The Beach Bar just a short walk up the beach, has the best fire show in all of Vanuatu and is definitely worth a look. The 2 bedroom ocean view room/duplex (this was located behind the volleyball court) we stayed in was comfortable with two double beds, fold out sofa, outdoor and indoor dining table, full fridge/freezer, ceiling fans and air-conditioning. Only negatives was on the first night we had poor water pressure from the shower, which we notified reception of in the morning and they had it fixed by the afternoon and secondly the Australian owners were not as friendly as the staff running the hotel.

If all you’re looking for is cheap accomodation, then this is a good option. It felt more like a hostel communal type place. The place is very run down and dirty. Our cutlery drawer had a dead cockroach and the place was dusty/dirty. The walls are super thin so you can hear everything going on outside. We heard a baby crying through the night and partying. The only air conditioner in the 4 bed “penthouse” was located in the master bed which meant we had to stay in that room whilst there to stay cool. We were meant to stay for 3 nights, but left after one. The staff didn’t show any concern and didn’t bother to ask why. The entire stay was non-refundable but no gesture of goodwill was made for the complaints we did bring up. Definitely would not recommend this place.

We stayed in the 2 bedroom beachfront unit in March 2017. Unit is right on beach in a quiet location. Your view looks out over Mele Bay and Hideaway Island. There is a Café/ bar poolside and the ladies their serve excellent cocktails! Also a beach bar restaurant just 1 minute walk down the beach from apartment that has an amazing Fire Show every Friday night! The staff at Vanuatu Beachfront Apartments are very good at helping organise any day trips you might want to do. Highly recommend the zip lining which is only 5-10 minutes from the apartments! The rooms are nice and have everything you need. Would recommend staying here again as its not a very big place so you wont have to contend with many other visitors. We felt like we had the place to ourselves most of the time.

Sitting in a bay with serene outlook onto a close island and the islands mountain range, Beachfront was a nicely located property out of town for a relaxing few days. It's 10min out of town, but well equipped with a gas kitchen (the fresh produce here is beyond words, fruit and vege like I've not tasted in a long time!) and a bar+restaurant and two nearby places as well. the room we had would suit two couples or a family and had water views. But it was the ever helpful staff who really made us feel extremely welcome at this site. We can't thank them enough for making every request happen with no hesitation and often making extremely good recommendations on other things to do as well.
