Love it, we had a great day at this beautiful place
1.0
We didn't able to watch local tv channels, old tv, shower head broke, lack of water to shower, old and dirty furnitures,, hard to open and close main door.

Staff was great. Well maintained suite.

It was a family trip, at the gate we werent even expected, it took two hours before we can get the place, finally when we got the place the a/c’s were not working and one of the rooms had no A/C at all and this point of the year its 40 degrees celcius at the beach in Nicaragua. Its a Big No No to sleep without AC specially when travelling with our children.
We decided to leave and drive back home, I wasted 230 dollars, which I dont expect to get refunded but its no fair not to be totally honest about the place.

The care of the property, the well manicured lawns and prompt service, friendly staff.

Twin size beds should be a little bigger. The property is God and well taken care of. The food in the restaurant is to die for.
I highly recommend this place to everyone.

The hotel is perfect, clean, quiet, nice, staff extremely friendly.
The road to the hotel is really bad.
Air conditioning is not cold enough.

The restaurant and location were good. We overpaid for the room. It was filthy dirty with stains on all furniture and the walls. We had 4 towels for 4 people in a two bedroom unit. There were no beach towels. We were offered breakfast certificates that never materialized. The power went out several times. The room was advertised as 7000 square feet when barely over 1000. There was no coffee maker. There were no Kleenex-just holders in each bathroom. We had a total of 5 hangers in two closets. There was no resort charging privilege so had to carry cash. There were no blinds in the bedroom. You get the point....horrible. I will never book on Expedia again.

Huge property with 9 holes of golf, very remote, right on the Pacific, mile from anything nothing included, even the water need to be purchased from restaurant.
Priced as 5 stars but not quite.

Nice place but no food market available in the resort, not entertainment activity not tours

Everything was great, however, the drains need to be checked in fwb bathrooms/showers. A lot of them backed up and it took awhile to drain

and nice pool facing the ocean. Ocean front. Beautiful sunsets at night. Signs are posted by the hotel that swimming is not recommended in the ocean because of the rocks. Front desk people seem helpful but the room we reserved and paid for was unavailable. When we inquired about housekeeping service on the second day, we were told that servicing is only every 4 days. We asked for towel exchange, and were told to bring towels to the front desk. When we went to exchange we were told "Sorry, we don't have keys to the locker" at this time. So we brought the used towels back to the room and did not receive any towel exchanges during our stay. We were quoted a price of $120 USD one way for transportation for the 3 of us from the Managua airport to the hotel, which we thought was unreasonably high.

Fabulous resort, facilities - once you get there. The road in is frankly dangerous unless you have 4 wheel drive (rainy season) Food in the only restaurant is not good, bring your own groceries and cook. seriously. All the staff are great, very gracious and helpful.

This is NOT a hotel! they try to tell you it is but it is actually condos. There are no hotel services as you would expect. The pool is small with a total of 10 beach chairs. The beach is not safe for swimming so bring a good book. The road in is 14km of rough dirt and mud do not attempt it with small car.

There's a security gate a few kilometers from the actual reception, they would let us in because according to them we had no reservation, I had a reservation on Expedia and also I called to confirm. We waited with our 1 year-old daughter, under the sun, on the security gate until they decided to let us in. Their excuse "Sorry, somtimes Expedia reservations fall in the Spam folder, but you are lucky! We found a room for you!" While we waited security staff made silly question like "Are you sure you have a reservation for this hotel? To stay to sleep here? In a room?"
Also, when we first booked it said the resort fee included "Spa access" and then we were told this was simply not true. They advertise baby-sitting options, also untrue.

Had a few issues with Hotels.com - although they stated my reservation was all paid the day of I made them, their communication to Gran Pacifica went into their junk mail so they did not know I was coming. The staff was extremely accommodating and our stay was awesome. I'd just double check with the hotel that your reservation went through! Massage, tasty meals at the restaurant, walk south for a mile to a surfer bar!

A super chill place great for romantic getaway. The week days are best for this couples. The weekend has more families. The room/condo was beautiful. We did not want to leave. I only wish it had a bigger pool or another pool for the kids. ;-p

This is nice resort close to Managua. My biggest complaint is that I had booked Three nights in the the 700 sq ft single bedroom condo This has a full kitchen. The original room they gave us was more of a single BR, studio apartment, with a small living area and kitchenette. I went to complain and they said they were all sold out , but that I could have the bigger 1BR the next day at no extra charge!!....Duh, because that was what I was paying for originally.I had stayed here last summer and the prices have gone up 50% !!

It was a great experience, very comfortable and quite place to go with your family, I just can recommend you to stop at the store before you head there, they include a kitchen in your apartment so you can safe some money or enjoy your own cooking in case you are Vegan or an special diet... Other than that... You will enjoy it so much that you will want to stay longer. The staff is just amazing: jaqueline/alfaro/gloria/nohemi/veronica thanks a lot for your excellent work.

Gave it 3 out of 5 stars due to:
1. Electricity went out for half a day and there was no backup generator which meant sweating at night in a tropical location. This tends to happen often and was surprise that such an expensive hotel was not equip to handle such situations
2. Access to Hotel requires a 4x4 vehicle during winter season as the 6 miles are dirt road which is not obvious from map or hotel instructions. There should be a warning about this. Drive at your own risk of getting stuck in the mud during winter
3. Restaurant is expensive even for this location and there is nothing around for miles and due to bad roads it might not be a good idea to go searching for another restaurant, hence bring your own food or expect to pay ~$100-150 for 4 people per meal.

This is a small resort type hotel. The service is pleasant and attentive The food was very good and overall is a nice place for a short stay.If staying much more than 2 days you might want to see options for larger facility. When i stayed it was for 3 days and full and enjoyed the other guest. The power went out 2x in the middle of the night and early in the morning. The prices for the restaurant are pretty good for almost everything. If i was in Nicaragua again i would consider going back but could be swayed by a larger facility near the same price range.

I was really impress with Grand Pacifica. The place was beautiful, the staff was great. The place has an amazing view. It is true, the place is really deep in the forest but that is what makes Grand Pacifica beautiful. Is a hidden gem. Once you there, you don't need anything else. The only thing I will suggest for the future is to have more amenities available, like karioki, maybe Jet Sky etc.. Oh and for the bar to be open a little more late.. I will definitely come back and visit again.

Firstable they gave me the smallest room they have and when I claim for that room size, they said that I should made reservation with them because that the room they have for people reserving with Expedia, hotels.com or other company. Secondly I did not like the beds does not have comforter or bedspread or something to cover it. In addition to that they dont have a beach, instead they have rock big roks,as a result people is not allowed to swimming in the beach only the pool. And finally the access to the hotel is 10 miles in a bad, very very bad road. It is very difficult to drive a sedan car in that road. Aside of what I said aboveMost of the rooms have an old very old TV set, Im pretty sure is more that ,25 years old.

The room was very nice and clean, it included a washer and dryer and a full kitchen with all of the cooking utensils and cookware that you could need. After checking in, they gave us a quick tour around the hotel and showed us everything in the room. One restaurant on-site (any other restaurants are at least a 30 minute drive away).
I believe all of the rooms have a view of the beach. However, the beach directly in front of the hotel is pretty rocky and they only recommend it for surfing. There is a longer sandy beach a few minutes drive to the north, still within the resort property.

I Love stay there with my family we really ejoy Gran Pacifica !

Clean, well-equipped room, great ocean view. With the breezes off the ocean I turned off the AC and just used the ceiling fan - then I could hear the ocean - and it was very comfortable. In the morning the restaurant staff delivered an excellent breakfast to my patio. (Best coffee I have had in a long time.)
When I checked in I asked the reception staff to arrange a car for noon the next day to go back to Managua. It was there, on time, and with a bilingual driver,
This was my first stay in the hotel at Gran Pacifica, but I will be back.

We stayed in one of the one bedroom suites and it was very large and very well appointed. The King bed was very comfortable and the room was very clean. After staying in several Nicaraguan hotels this place was a very pleasant surprise! The infinity pool is incredible, the staff are so welcoming and friendly and the food at the restaurant was amazing, especially the seafood soup and lobster!
We are looking forward to coming back again and again now that we found this diamond in the rough! I do not usually take the time to write reviews but this place deserves it. You won't be disappointed with stunning suites right on the beach, a golf course, horse back riding and great food. The last couple miles of the entrance road are rough but being worked on and once that is done this place will be perfect!

I booked this place based on the reviews. However, as we checked in, there was a clause on the agreement that said a refund of 20% on the stay will be awarded for periods of more than 5 hours without electricity. We were there two nights. First night no electricity from about midnight to about 4 am. Next night, no electricity from about 8 to 1am. On our first full day there, the electricity came back but only partially. There was not cable TV or wifi in the room for most of that day. My problem with all of this is that the property did have generators. However, as I see it, they did not use them on their guest rooms (I guess to save a few bucks). However, coincidentally, the periods without electricity lasted under 5 hours. When I asked about the 20% refund, they only gave a 10% after I asked.
