Amazing stay with the kindest hosts and service

Very cozy stay and about as central you can get. Ante and Ivan goes the extra mile to make sure you have a great vacation with good trips and food, whether you chose to have breakfast on the nice terrace (self-catering in fully equipped kitchen) or pop around the corner and treat yourself at a restaurant. You need to walk the 5 stairs and will be woken up by the cathedral bells in the morning, but this only adds to the charm and is anyway something to expect when you live smack in the midst of things.

He gave me a list of places to see and miss from a list I had and other tips about Split. My room was bright, immaculate and spacious with a balcony that overlooked part of the palace. I had laundry that needed to be washed at no additional cost. The covered terrace had plenty of seating and tables, as well as a full kitchen and bathroom. Plus, a rooftop terrace with a jaw dropping view of Diocletians Palace and Split! Early mornings and late nights were spent enjoying the view from said rooftop! The location dosen't get any better than this, you are literally in the heart of the Palace! When visiting Split, there's no question that you must stay here! I can't recommend this property enough! *note that this property dosen't have an elevator.

Very clean and in the perfect area with everything nearby such as restaurants, convenience stores and tourist areas.

Honest to goodness review. Pros: centrally located in the heart of Diocletian Palace. Easy to get to tours, walking spend harbor, ferries, farmers market, all of the more attractions in Split. Free laundry service. Kind and hospitable staff. Terrace and Rooftop with views. Cooking area. Cons: if you’re expecting American standard hotel this is not your place. No hot water in the mornings for days. Walk up 3-4 flights of stairs daily. If you’re in good shape this is a good choice. Nice people. Nice guests to talk to from different parts of Europe. Safe surroundings. Kind staff. Just don’t come with expectations.

Wonderful location in old town. Ivan was incredibly friendly and helpful. He sent me a great guide for Split (including restaurant recommendations) and even helped me look at ferry schedules for a day trip.

The property was in an excellent position at the heart of the Diocletion palace. Facilities were really good with a rooftop kitchen ideal for snacks and breakfast with great views of the town. Sixty steps to the rooms could make it challenging for the less fit.

These apartments over look Apollo's Temple in the old Palace. They are easy to find but you have to negotiate 3 or 4 floors of stairs. They are spacious and clean and have a roof top Balcony with a small communal kitchen. We are in our 60's and really enjoyed our stay. The young man who checked us in was extremely helpful and carried our heavy bags up for us. It is very central to all of Split and the waterfront. We had 4 days and loved our time.

I stayed here with a friend for 5 days and we loved every minute of our stay. The owners are so very kind and did everything in their power to make our stay unforgetable. The apartment is in the middle of the old town with shops and restaurants everywhere and it is a 10-minute walk to the beach. We also loved the rooftop terrace and the kitchen and met lovely people there. When we go back to Split we will stay here for sure.

Super quiet Amazing host

Amazing location and unforgettable view from the terrace. Great kitchen to cook and save money.

Apartments Banica is about as central as you could ask for, about halfway between the Iron gate and the bell tower. Surrounded by gelato shops and restaurants, we never had more than a five minute walk to anywhere except the beach and the Marjan Hill and marina. Ivan and Ante were on duty and super informative and helpful, setting up our rides to and from the airport and giving us plenty of tips about the apartments and the city of Split. The room was very comfortable with one large bed and one fold out twin. (We were traveling 2 1, and it was perfect.) The small in-room fridge was supplemented by a full kitchen in the common area/terrace where we could bring our snacks to enjoy in the shade. There's even a rooftop with seating to enjoy some of the local wine. We would happily stay here again!

Brilliant location, two seconds from all the old town stuff. The room was very comfortable too. The highlight was the hosts Ivan and Ante, they went out of their way to meet you, get to know you and help answer questions. Two nicest guys in Croatia! The patio was out of this world awesome. And a free espresso machine!! Five stars all around, highly recommend!!

We enjoyed our stay very much. It made it easy when the location within the walls was so close to everything. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Our suitcases were carried up the many stairs to the apartment on our arrival and back down when we left which we were very happy about. The room was spacious and clean and we enjoyed having our breakfast and some drinks on the rooftop terrace. It was great to have the common kitchen on the rooftop to make our own breakfast and have coffee from their very awesome coffee machine. We would happily stay again!

Location is everything and this apartment was perfect in the heart of split. Marko who met us was friendly and showed us around the apartment. It’s literally a stones throw from Diocletians palace with the tower view from our balcony. The room was a good size with a great shower. A bonus was there is a communal covered terrace on the top of the property with great views. Highly recommended.

I enjoyed the covered terrace to sit in the evening

It was a wonderful place to stay & within the palace , walking distance to all kinds of restaurants & shops. The host was very helpful , the room was very clean & comfortable. You’ll need to walk at least 5+ minutes from the airport bus as it’s pedestrian only . No elevators so you’ll get your exercise climbing some steps. I would recommend a sign at the bottom with instructions to the top. They also have a rooftop patio to enjoy coffee provided with a peek a boo sea view. I would recommend this hotel

Our host is very helpful. Suggested places to go and good service. The place is centrally located, in between Jupiter temple and bell tower. Accessible to buses, trains, ferry boats and sightseeing tours. Quiet and safe place even though the place is around restaurants and bars. I can highly recommend this place when staying in Split.

The Banica apartments are spotless. perfect location in the middle of everything. There’s a great rooftop area with full kitchen. The Manager is very helpful. Would recommend highly.

Super nice apartment. Terrace has amazing views. Emir was amazing. Gave us lot of info about the city and also helped us with our luggage. The owner is also very nice. Both went the extra mile to make our stay enjoyable. 10/10.

This small Apartments place is in a great location. You step out of the front door straight into the Palace area of Split. The room is a good size, clean, tidy and comfortable. This place is on the 3rd & 4th floor and there is no lift and you will have to walk a short distance to the property as it is in the middle of a pedestrian area but is onlt a 10 minute walk from the bus/train station if you come in that way. I cannot praise the staff highly enough. They were all bright, cheery and always had a smile. The introduction to the property is comprehensive including an email sent when I booked that explained lots of things. When I was there I asked if they could point me towards a bar showing NFL and although they didn't know at the time within an hour I had an email from them listing a couple of bars along with links to google maps to show directions and how to use their wifi hotspot should I prefer that. Would happily stay here again and the staff are fantastic. THANK YOU.

Great location and nice help with airport pick up. The rooms were clean but did not look newly renovated or anything like the photos on Hotels.com. Enjoyed the roof top terrasse.

Very friendly service, great amenities. Loved the common area for use of a great coffee machine, kitchen, and lounge looking out over the city and water! Great location in the middle of Split Old Town. We stayed in 5 different properties across Croatia, Slovenia, and Italy and this was our favorite.

I loved it here! It was a great little oasis in the heart of Diocletian's Palace which is very packed with tourists. The rooms were clean, quiet, and well appointed and the best part: there is a terrace and shared kitchen on the upper floor AND a rooftop deck! I'll definitely stay here again when I'm in Split.

Perfect location to see all sights. Hosts extremely friendly and helpful. We enjoyed relaxing on the beautiful terrace.
