The cabin was the perfect size for us with a wonderful view out the living room of lake Superior.

great place! well stocked, comfortable. firewood is free and provided. bring charcoal (we left our bag, pay it forward). the bay is calm and sandy. The Ice Cream was divine! Great communication via text. I had chose stay at property so we settled up via phone on checkout morning. I look forward to staying there again.

Excellent get a way. Exceptionally clean. Quiet treed area with private fire pit. Small beach beautiful sunsets. Ice cream treat in the freezer for us.

We loved our stay here. Our cabin was clean, well supplied, and spacious. There were plenty of towels, the kitchen had enough dishes, pots, and pans for us, and the property owners even supplied us with a container of locally made ice cream as a welcome gift. One of the nice features of this property is how close we were to the lake shore. All we had to do was walk about 20 yards down a path and we were at the water's edge. My wife kept commenting on how this property would make a great spot for multiple families to come together for a reunion or something similar.

They were very accommodating and took in my new puppy. The cottage was absolutely beautiful. Great communication of getting to the place and checking in. Would highly recommend this place. Hopefully they let me back down the road, the puppy did some chewing damage. My bad

It was a small resort that we liked and plenty of space between the cabins. The lake front beach was very nice and sandy - perfect for us to hang and let our dog play. The only down side was the road noise - it wasn't overly loud but we are not used to road noise so it did get noticed by us.

I was super impressed with how clean the cabin was! We did not spend much time at the cabin as we spent most days exploring the area. Never saw host, but they reached out several times to make sure we didnt need anything and also gave us dinner recommendations.

Quiet with sufficient seating for everyone so we could visit. Also had outdoor private fire pit

Will definitely be back! Everything we needed for our weekend trip. Owners went above and beyond to make sure our stay was comfortable with our little one. Beds were amazing and our cozy little cabin was perfect to spend time indoors since we had inclement weather.

Wonderful vintage cottage, clean with wifi and cable. Rustic setting with access to beach and kayak lauch. Fire wood and pit with each cottage was best end to days activities.

This cottage at Mission Resort is spacious, clean, and adorable. Its a little gem on Lake Superior. Its bigger than it looks in the pictures. Katie, the owner, was very easy to work with. Her decorating of the cottage gives it such a homey feel. She has great attention to detail.

I had a great time. I would say this place is more of a cabin experience than hotel room experience. There are ~5 cabins/houses grouped together on the lake there is no front desk/place to eat on site. That being said, it was exactly what I wanted; you are a bit secluded in a wooded area on the lake. The view from our cabin (#9, one bedroom) was just alright. You could see the lake, but through many trees. You could walk down to a small beach owned by the property though. The place was clean and the owner, Katie, was very helpful when I called. She arranged a pack n play and a booster seat for my cabin since I was traveling with a toddler and she made some great suggestions on where to go. Cabin #9, the one bedroom has a full kitchen, living room, bathroom, and separate bedroom area, so it is much larger than a standard hotel room. I was disappointed however that this cabin has no door between the bedroom area and living room area. I would like to have shut the door to the bedroom after I put my toddler to sleep without having to worry about the light/noise in the kitchen. I thought the location was good. You aren't too far from ashland (which had a larger grocery store and more places to eat) and you also aren't too far from bayfield (which had more touristy things to do).

Enjoyed our stay at Mission Springs Resort. Stayed in a very cozy, clean cottage. Enjoyed a bonfire by the lake on Friday night. The staff was very friendly and efficient. The homemade ice cream in the freezer was a great touch!

The resort owners are very friendly and the cabin was exceptionally clean. The problem I had was that the bed sagged to the middle. Definitely had a poor night sleep. There is also a methane smell coming from the bathroom. We kept the door shut to contain the odor.

We had a great stay at Mission Springs Resort just outside of Ashland, WI. The cabin we stayed in (#9) was cozy and rustic. All in all very comfortable, and the kitchen was well supplied with pots, pans, and other cooking implements. We had our own fire pit, and firewood was provided. The freezer was also stocked with a very generous bucket of locally made ice cream. We were traveling on business in the area and the WiFi was great for three days, though a little flaky on the fourth. It was a wonderful break on a multi-week work trip from hotel rooms and eating out. To top it off, we forgot a small item and the owners had a replacement shipped to us in just two days. I would highly recommend this as a place for vacationing. It is conveniently located to Ashland, the Northern Great Lakes Visitor Center, and even within day-trip distance of the Apostle Islands. If we are back in the area we will definitely be staying here again!

We spent the weekend in a nice cabin in a wooded area, near Lake Superior. Only a few other cabins at this resort. We were minutes away from good restaurants, parks, and trails. Cabin was spacious and clean with everything we needed. Owners were helpful and available but not intrusive.

My family enjoyed a long weekend at Mission Springs with comfortable accommodations and very friendly staff. Our cabin was super clean and well appointed. We had everything you might need in the kitchen to cook and serve a full meal (no microwave). However, we spent the majority of our time using the fire pit outside of our cabin to cook hotdogs over the fire, roast marshmallows (huge hit with our little girl) and to eat gooey s'mores! They have fire wood for purchase at the resort (we were given some that was left from another guest). The location directly on Superior is excellent. We had stairs from our cabin directly down to the water and a beautiful view of the moon on the water in the evening. It was so quiet and peaceful making for a great night of sleep. The resort is about 20 minutes from Bayfield where you can catch a ferry to Madeline Island. There are places nearby where you can fish, though we found the small beaches near the resort a bit difficult for fishing (too windy for fishing during our stay as well). The resort could possibly use a few more water toys/boats and some seating for parents near the water, but the water is clean and cool on a hot summer day. Finally, the family that runs the resort is wonderful! Very friendly, warm and informative. We were even given ice cream from a local creamery as a treat - amazing! We will be back!
