Lovely stay

Only stayed the 1 night, the hotel room was clean and large, everything was in the room for a comfortable stay. We would stay there again.

Lovely comfortable hotel, lovely room. Good breakfast & helpful friendly staff.

The rooms had dirt down walls curtains hanging off dirt on bed frame the bed needed replaceing as very old and unable to sleep in could not wait to get home very disappointing not worth the money

Room was clean, the hotel is an old hotel. The staff are friendly and helpful. One thing to note is that the sea gulls do make a noise in the early morning but it is a Seaside location, maybe close your window. Ideally located, close to pier and beach, and night life

Very nice hotel, an old & characterful building but the room was well maintained and nicely decorated. Ask for a room facing the sea! Mine overlooked a very busy pub with live music that turned out at 02.30 on the Saturday night and was very noisy. Closing the window shuts out the noise but also the air and it was very hot! Seagulls tend to sit outside the window and scream too . . . I will stay there again thought.

Rooms are in keeping with the character of the building and pretty spacious

Such a friendly place, staf are very attentice. Breakfasts was delicious, plenty of choice. Location is perfect, sea views amd by the town.

What do you need on a business trip... some comfort, a fairly decent bed, some quiet time to get some sleep... what did we get? Aside from the in-house creak of every floor board... Aside from the rock hard pillows... Aside from the a bed with more mis-placed springs assualting your back... You get to find your room on the front of the hotel... With a bar/club just 30 yards across the road... THUMP THUMP THUMP... until 2am... 2.30 am... the KRASHHHH of the bottles being deposit in a metal bin... Middle of the night the sound of the truck coming for said bottles. 6am... Sunday morning... a street cleaning truck cleaning the square, also outside the window. Too hot to close the windows... the fan provided that we found at 4am in the wardrobe didn't work. So... as you can imagine... a lot of money paid for no sleep! Did I mention the sloping floor in the bathroom... the wonky toilet that made ytou think you were taking a pee up-hill? Did I mentioin the sticky tables in the bar? How about... weird but trues... the dead ants that seem to come out of the bar drinks pump... lemonade with that sir... and there they were, doing the back-stroke! Old... Tired... Yes that could be us... but really, this hotel is so well positioned... but so dreadful. Never... Ever... Again!

Hotel very tired and needs a complete refurb . Staff mostly friendly but couple very dismissive Bedroom clean but very old fashioned wallpaper and threadbare carpet Bathroom really needs upgrade . Old fashioned shower over bath , chipped hand basin. Towels replaced daily which was good . Central location , easy parking but while external image of hotel is good , internally is appalling

We only stayed for one night - which we often do. Everything suited us. The staff were happy to accommodate our requests. We wouldn’t hesitate in choosing The Royal.

This hotel needs a revamp of the rooms as they are poor quality and with no usb connections in room and the shower is from the 60s it looks like

The hotel is located in the centre of town, therefore noise from neighbouring bars / clubs went on until very late / early. The toiletries were all empty, not a drop of soap or shower gel in sight. The hotel and room were both okay, staff were friendly and helpful. We left before breakfast so cannot comment on the food.

TV not working spoiled the experience someone not checked ?

NICE STAY ON THE WAY TO NORTH DEVON. HELPFUL AND FRIENDLY STAFF. ROOM CLEAN AND LARGE CLEAN BATHROOM. HAVE STAYED HERE SEVERAL TIMES BEFORE AND WILL DO AGAIN. GOT ITS OWN PUB NICE TOUCH.

Centrally located for all Weston-super-Mare's main attractions.

Over all excellent. Staff were most helpful,as a somewhat disabled person. They could not have more caring and keen to be of assistance. We shall be back.

Very helpful staff, great room decor, nice feel to the hotel.

Our room was at the front of the hotel. Witch we found that it would result in no sleep .Till around 3am because of the noisy bars across the road and we was in one of there family rooms omg,How parents with children put up with that crap god only knows. Breakfast had good choices but the hot food was cold I did report it to staff but.second day hot food was still being served cold .will not be staying again

Room was a bit tired and small. Shower door didn’t fit properly over bath.

This hotel is perfect for a short stay in Weston. Staff are friendly and welcoming at reception. Hotel was immaculately clean. Great location.

The staff were very friendly and location was perfect. I forgot to ask for a travel cot to be in our room but that was not a problem, they quickly had one delivered to our room with no fuss. The cleanliness wasnt perfect, there was hair in our bath and no hand soap in the bathroom. There was a very loud club/bar beneath us and the music was extremely loud in there but stopped at a reasonable time so coulnt really complain. Bar are is so lovely and the staff in there were very friendly, it was a nice atmosphere to sit and relax in.

Amazin stay.... Staff couldnt do enough.... Room could do with an update.... But super clean..... Only stayed 4 the 1 nite.... But would definitely stay again....
