The property is well maintained and there is an abundance of friendly, helpful staff in every corner of the resort. We stayed in the Pref. Suites but if you dont need the spae or specific layout I would recommend staying on the main property. All of the places to eat, the gym and the spa are on the main side. Also, the Preferred building faces the main two way road and there is a TON of noise from all the big vehicles that utilize this road. We could hear it from our balcony and even from the pool area that is placed on the front of the property facing the main road. The Preferred building is less hectic in terms of crowds (not that the place was crowded in general) so if you really don't like to see other people it may be the place for you. Beyond that, I can't see too many reasons to deal with the inconvenience of being isolated from the rest of the resort and being a quarter mile walk from the beach. The beach was excellent and the grounds were well maintained .There are two potential drawbacks to consider- the first is that if you aren't Spanish speaking or comfortable not being understood this may not be the best place for you. This is a resort for Spanish speaking tourists- while some front-line staff can speak English- many can't speak a word. Other caveat would be the food, it generally was not good. I know all inclusives are not known for top notch cuisine, but this was near the bottom for me and my family. I don't blame the staff however, they do the best they can.

Great stay with my family. Awesome buffet for Breakfast, lunch and dinner! Worth every penny. Emil in concierge was accessible throughout the day! I do wish there would be more entertainment at night after dinner. There was a magic show on our last night and no seats available as it was the only entertainment. Overall great stay!!

My favorite part about the property was how clean it was and how friendly the staff was . They went above and beyond. Excellent service, especially Mr. Emil he accommodated me for everything i needed. Mr. Emil checked on us throughout the trip, he was awesome! The property is not a big party property its perfect for families and just relaxing. I will be returning next year.

We really enjoyed our stay at Dreams La Romana. The rooms were exceptional with a bedroom, separate living room, two balconies, and new, modern decor. HIghly recommend Preferred club, which offers private beach area, exclusive dining areas, and the best part, a personal butler. Our butler, Gustavo was amazing. He checked in with us every morning to make sure we knew what was happening in the resort each day, made special arrangements for us, and was always accessible, friendly and accommodating. The property was clean, walkable, offered several pools and the beach was super clean each day. Great experience!

First the parts I didn’t like. The rug had a iron burn, one of the drawers didn’t close properly and a towel rack in the bathroom was loose. I requested an iron and it took longer than I anticipated so I had to leave without waiting for it to come. Also, I was on the preferred side and did not receive a tote like the rest of my party.
On the other hand, everything looked very clean and most importantly the staff was amazing! Everyone was very polite and professional. Staff was also very upbeat and cheerful when we requested any services.

Overall, the experience was great. There were a variety of food and restaurant options, but it would have been nice to get into more than two of the restaurants. They don't have reservations so waiting times were up to 2 hours so we went elsewhere. Room service is extremely limited so the Cafe came in handy. The entire property was well-kept, but we were concerned that daily housekeeping was very inconsistent in how they cleaned/stocked the room. The shows were a complete surprise, and we enjoyed a romantic beach dinner that was nothing short of perfect. Definitely a repeat visit even with the weather going to extremes of lightning, thunder, and torrential downpour at times. Kudos to several staff members on how well they have learned English to communicate more effectively.

Great location, beautiful surroundings, and excellent service from all staff. Big thanks to Carlos the concierge, he was amazing, sending daily updates, and for the surprise balloons on my daughter’s birthday. The hotel made a fantastic first impression with its cleanliness, style, and spacious rooms. We enjoyed the beautiful beach and pools. Love the quiet pool in the afternoons. The room was well-equipped and comfortable, Very pleased with our stay. The only thing is that I wish the food was a little more better. Looking forward to returning for a longer visit in the future.

The best of the property is the Butler service along with the facilities and restaurants. If you're a gluten free person you might find it a bit difficult to get good stuff for you, specially pastry but the restaurant teams will def try to help

Staff was great but we did not like the constant pressure to purchase spa treatments and tours. It was just too much and made the stay feel like staying in a place where they try to sell you a timeshare. Dreams Dominicus makes itself look cheap by engaging in these practices.

It was very kids friendly. The service from staff was good. The first day we were without water to flush the toilet or to shower.I didn’t like that in the dining places the AC wasn’t strong enough. The waiting time for the specialty restaurants was too long, we had to wait more than 1 hour to get a table and had to end up eating at the buffet.

The beach is beautiful; clear waters and white sand. The Dominicans are great people; their treatment is really friendly and unique. The pools and the bars are great. The room cleaning lady Yesenia was really nice and attentive. Joselito, our Expedia agent was amazing.
The only thing I would improve in the hotel is the buffet. I could be because of high demand, but sometimes we had to wait for plates and utensil. Other than that everything was great and would do it again.

My husband and I vacationed at Dreams to celebrate our 35th wedding anniversary. From the moment you arrive you are treated to excellent customer service. Every employee goes out of their way to ensure that you have a good time. Dreams Dominicus is surrounded by beautiful greenery and crystal clear blue water. There is something to do for everyone and the five restaurants/ plus buffet makes dining an enjoyable experience. A special thank you to Yrani for her professionalism and dedication. She made sure we had a special anniversary. My husband and I had a wonderful time and will be returning.

The property was clean and overall, I had a good stay but here are some pros and cons:
Pros: beach, pool, restaurants (compared to Iberostar it was cleaner without birds and flies), nice staff
Cons: vacation club sales guy was very pushy, the food was aceptable but not that tasty, room service took really long

I would like to start by saying that the staff is A , great people, very friendly and energetic.. lizander Rijo y Julio Baez from the Himitsu Restaurant were our star chefs! The food was yummy and thanks to that we had a pleasant stay!
On the other side, this Hotel needs major renovation, the rooms were tacky and had a nasty smell on them that we had to report in 2 different times. The trash can in the bathroom oxidized, the decor and the luxury that I would expect for the money I paid was nonexistent. The floors in the terrace from the swim up pool have not been cleaned in a while, they had algae build up. Walls not painted, dirty doors ect..
I wish they fix it, Because people there are so nice, the only way I would go back is if the hotel goes thru renovations. If not I would put my money elsewhere.
