Staying at la Romana Charming was an excellent choice, great location, the staffs were great,the service was excellent ( it was my sister’s bday they left a cake with candle for her) I had a very good breakfast , very personalized to your taste The room was nice. The pool was a treat ,warm and clean.I will definitely highly recommend this hotel .

Small charming hotel, as the name suggests. Rooms are spacious and hotel has a swimming pool centrally located in the centre. The best part of the rooms was the bed, which was one of the most comfortable I’ve slept on. Daily housekeeping.
Hotel is in a quiet area, which we appreciated, especially when the bars were rocking, but still walkable to the centre of town and the beach.
The only meal option is breakfast, served between 08:00 and 10:00, and made to order.

Talk about charming. It is so quaint and warm, very comfortable beds and we loved our outdoor shower and tub.
The breakfast included was some of the best we had in Costa Rica and you feel very much taken care of here.
The owner and his family were so kind and helpful, we will most certainly be back. Highly recommend!

It was nice, quiet and just what we were looking for in a one-night stay. Only blemish was that the power went out for a couple of hours, but hey, we are used to that in Central America. I do recomend the stay, no doubt!

We really enjoyed our stay. The property is small and has a family-owned bed and breakfast feeling. The owner, Pavel, was delightful and helpful. The rooms were clean, spacious and beautiful. It’s about a short 5 minute walk in to town and is very quiet. The only sounds we heard were wildlife! Included breakfast in the morning was delicious as well. We would love to stay here again in the future.

5 star for the location, unique aesthetic and appeal, my room came with a private outdoor shower as well as an indoor one. Host Pavel was kind, always available and the hotel was a few minutes walk from the main stretch, I would come back here.

Paul, the owner is so nice and accommodating. Property is very quiet and small (only 5 villas). Very comfortable bed and clean all around. It is only about a 7 minute walk before we start seeing restaurants/bars and its about a 15 minute walk to the beach.

I had a lovely outside tub I was able to soak under the stars my last night. Manager was very helpful. Had to check out at 4 am so they made me a lovely breakfast to go.

We spent 1 night at La Ramona! It is beautiful! Pavel the manager is so nice! The pool was refreshing! 8 min walk into town. The roads are dirt/gravel part of the way and no sidewalks but it wasn’t bad. The outside shower and bathtub were very relaxing! Breakfast was great! Fruit, eggs, rice, beans, and toast! Perfect little spot for our last night in Costa Rica!

Love this charming boutique hotel. Perfect walking distance to the beach and downtown. We stayed in the romantic orange room with the outdoor tub. Perfect getaway for a couple. Pavel made us breakfast every day. Pool was a nice way to relax and cool off on the hot days.

Pavel, the manager, was kind, helpful, and able to help us with anything we needed. The breakfast and property had a comfortable home-vibe, and felt like we were relaxing at a quaint oasis. The property is off the main strip so is a little quieter if you are there to relax or just want to be away from the hustle and bustle. The outside patio with the bathtub and shower was the highlight! It's hard to find a nice relaxing bathtub anywhere. The breakfast was traditional Costa Rican, and it was nice to have a friendly chat with Pavel. We will definitely be back (=

Overall, the accommodation was OK. We were surprised that it was rated exceptional, due to the fact that the overall condition of the place was outdated. On a positive side, the manager was very kind and helpful. The air conditioning was strong, and we had a good breakfast everyday. In terms of areas for improvement, Everything felt really old and worn. The towels were old and pilling. The bed sheets were also old. The shower was somewhat moldy, and the drain did not work well. We had to stand in about 2 inches of water after showering. See picture. There were also ants in the room. Personally, I would recommend going elsewhere if you can afford a little bit more or live further away from the downtown area of Tamarindo.

This property is an absolute gem! I booked it at the last minute and was so thoroughly impressed! The property is so charming and the breakfast patio overlooking the pool and gardens is like a piece of heaven. It's quiet, peaceful, clean and relaxing. I loved the bath tub and outdoor shower - epic! I would highly recommend this property and will absolutely be returning. The owner and his staff are friendly, helpful and very kind.
