The pub is charming to look at and the meal was nice but our room was shocking. There was mould on one of the bathroom towels and when we woke up my partner found a toenail clipping stuck to his arm and he was covered in little black bugs! I complained and received a discount on my food bill. Strange customer service as my meal was the best part of the stay and received no complaints from us.

A pub/hotel full of character and in a great location. The room was large, comfortable and well furnished and decorated. Great shower. We had a meal and the food was excellent so to the lovely breakfasts. The building as a whole needed a little tlc and gripes are minor. The manager was somewhat short and harassed at check in and again at dinner. The other staff were charming. Our stay coincided with bin day and the hottest day of the year - so with windows open it was early start for us. The TV didn’t work - not a big issue as we didn’t really need it but not ideal. Overall a good experience and perfect location to explore Lymington and the new forest.

Good points: We (1 adult, two kids) stayed in the Aston Suite and there was plenty of space. The bed was comfortable and large. The bathroom was in good condition and the water pressure was exceptional. There was parking at the pub and EV charging in the public car park at the back of the pub.
Not so good: When i booked the room i received confirmation at one price from Expedia and another confirmation from the Mayflower for £25 more. I called to see what was going on and was told it was an extra guest fee, then it was for breakfast - neither was true. On arrival I was assured it was an issue with Expedia and i would only be charged the amount Expedia had confirmed. Luckily I checked my credit card before i checked out because I'd been charged an extra £36. Again told this is an Expedia issue. This all tainted the experience. The refund hasnt come through yet, so yet more chasing and complaining.

Great view of the Isle of Whight from room. Comfortable bed. Great bathroom with shower and stand alone bath. Walk to town centre, metres to sea and seawater swimming pool.

We booked this last minute just as we arrived in Lymington - and the staff were all really friendly and helpful - we booked a table for dinner which was really good. Room was perfect - only small thing was that the emergency light above the door was really bright - and I’m sure this is out of their control. Breakfast was spot on and again the staff were lovely. Will definitely go back.

Lovely spacious room which was clean, comfortable & dog friendly. The staff were friendly & breakfast was very good, with an extensive choice.
A few recommendations to make this an excellent stay, upgrading the TV to a Smart, we were without apps (Netflix, iplayer etc) & the tv was missing ITV & C4. As we’re having a relaxing weekend away & back to our room early, this feature was missed.
The room had a lovely bath but no bubble bath was provided.

The Mayflower is a 15 minute walk to the High Street. It is tucked away down by the marina and yacht clubs. Brilliant rooms and good breakfast.
One small niggle is the pub closes at 10pm.

We were a bit further from the town than I thought . The bed and pillows were very comfortable. The hotel was a bit run down . The staff were extremely friendly.

Luxury accommodation in characteristic pub 20 minutes walk from centre of Lymington with free off street parking. Room clean excellent bed and large shower. All of which we stay again without hesitation.

Only issue was that the bar/restaurant stopped serving food too early which forced us in to town to find somewhere else for an evening meal

Unfortunately we had a bit of bad experience in this place. We have booked a room for 3 adults and when we arrived there we were only given a room for two. After lots of talk they added a small foldable temp bed which were not comfortable at all.
Breakfast was really good but the pub delivery at 6:00 am was really noisy and disturbing

The room we had was very nice,quite spacious, The pub itself was comfortable, the only down side was our evening meal which was in our opinion expensive for two roast chicken dinners priced at £17.50 each the broccoli spears were rock hard, the roast potatoes & parsnips were dry as if they had been kept warm all day.There excuse was that they had been busy all day. Surely your meal should be as good to enjoy no matter what time of day it is

The room decor was stunning. Great bathroom. The common areas in the Residents' area were a little tired, but that is being very picky. We were in Lymington attending a sailing event hosted by both the Royal Lymington Yacht Club and the Lymington Town Sailing Club, so the location was perfect for us.

Very close to ferry, and a few minutes drive to the Yacht Haven. some rooms overlook Lymington Town Sailing Clubhouse.

Rooms are lovely, we stayed in Room 3 and it’s large, with a bath in the room, and a gorgeous clean en-suite. The shower gel smells amazing. Will most definitely return.

All of the staff at The Mayflower were incredibly friendly and helpful. The food is excellent and the rooms are large and comfortable. Without any hesitation, I would stay there again.

We really enjoyed our stay. We had a very comfortable, spacious room. The staff were very friendly and helpful. A broken lightbulb was replaced immediately.
The evening meal and our breakfasts were delicious.
