It's so cozy inside the room.

We stayed at this lodge La Casa dei Treni for two nights to tour Cinque Terre. We were very happy with our choice of hotel. First, communication between us and hosts were very prompt and effective. We got answers almost instantly via Expedia messaging system for any of our questions. Its location is excellent for tourists like us as it requires only a couple of minutes walking to reach La Spezia Centrale train station. Although our room is so close to railways, we were surprised to find out that our room was so quiet that we could hardly hear any train passing noise. Food solutions nearby are abundant. We were also grateful to staff Chiara who provided a convenient post-checkout luggage storage solution.

Great communication, hosts always very helpful and responsive
Perfect location if wanting to travel to Cinque Terre, clean and spacious. Had everything we needed for a couple travelling around Italy
We asked for some washing to be done and they did it right away and returned straight back to our room, couldn’t have asked for more :)
Would recommend to friends and family!

Our host Chiara was very welcoming and gave us tips on what to see and do in the Cinque Terre.
The accommodation was lovely and had all you needed in the room. We opted to have the breakfast which was fab. Plenty of choice and great coffee.
The property is a few minutes walk to the train station so ideally positioned.

It's very close to the Central Station of La Spezia.
You can get to the port through the main street in about thirty minutes on foot.
There are restaurants, cafes and supermarkets within walking distance.
You need to tell the owner the check-in time by the previous day.
I forgot to tell the owner, so the gate was closed when I arrived.
However, when I called the owner, he took care of it immediately and I was able to check in safely.
The owner is very friendly and kind.
If you let the owner know by the previous day, you can have a paid breakfast in the apartment.
Also, if you pay 4euro, you can have it washed and dried.
This is a recommended accommodation for tourists visiting Cinque Terre.

We had very pleasant stay for 2 nights, 3 to 4 minutes walk to train station, grate location, super convenient if you will visit Cinque Terre; a few minutes walk to city for eat and drink. We checked in late, the owner welcomed us the following morning, provided us great tips and recommendations where to go, which trails to hike to avoid the crowds. The place also offered breakfast which was very convenient. It was raining all day when we were there, luckily I was able to borrow the umbrella from the owner, which saved my day.

So happy with our choice to stay here. You can be at the La Spezia train station after a quick 5 minute walk. The owners were very easy to communicate with and offered advise for seeing the Cinque Terre area. Plenty of dining options within a short walking distance. Very clean room. Would stay again on our next trip to the area.

Cute stay! Super close to the train station, and in easy reach of great restaurants, shops and bars. The staff were super friendly, and have very easy check in (code to open keypad containing room key). Beautifully decorated, quaint, and lovely night sleep. We chose to have breakfast elsewhere due to an early train booked, but the price for breakfast was very reasonable at the hotel.

Perfect one night stay for 2 day trip to Cinque Terre. So close to train station and lovely La Spezia downtown. Incredible service. Management went out of their way to for early checkin and held luggage for late checkup. Very responsive to email.
Room was very clean and comfortable with thoughtful little details.
Highly recommend this place.

The owners do an amazing job at making their guests feel comfortable. The rooms are beautifully decorated and well organised. It’s a bit uncomfortable walking into the building from the street but once you get to the apartments, it is lovely. The location is perfect for taking a quick train to Cinque Terre.

I liked everything.
Location: 2min walk from train station, 2min walk from main street which leads you to the seafront in about 10-15min. Portovenere bus stop is 5-10min walk.
Room: very spacious for a european hotel
great washroom with a nice shower
Amenities: mini a minubar if you want to pay 1 euro for beverages
Breakfast was your typical continental breakfast with an espresso/specialty drink machine
Staff: very passionate about their city, family people, will talk to you and answer all your questions because they love talking about their town and getting in touch with tourists.
They speak very good English!
Safety: found the city to be safe much like most cities in Europe. But if you are worried there is a gate that needs a code, a buzzer, a key to get into the hotel and a key for your room. So 4 barriers of security.
Again, I've never had an issue with safety in Europe. I'm from Canada and I don't really notice a difference even when i'm walking around drunk/alone at 2am-5am

Unbeatable guesthouse in La Spezia!!
Recommended place to stay when visiting Cinque Terre.
Excellent price, awesome hospitality, lots of helpful local tips provided and the best part was the great interior design.
Spanking clean room. We really can't think of any area can be improved.

You won’t be disappointed. I’ve stayed in luxury hotels and value and this one gives nice touches at a great price. Stylish design, very clean, spacious, roomy bath, organic soaps, minibar with drinks for 1 euro, great hairdryer, good WiFi, etc. etc. most importantly staff that make you feel like you are at home! My plans changed so I needed a second night but they were booked. When I left to go to another hotel, Chiara (who I believe is the owner) told me to call them or come by if I needed anything during the remainder of my stay. So sweet and kind. Breakfast was good, Italian style, but plenty. I would happily stay again. The place I moved to was the same price by the way and not even close to the same experience. Congrats for a lovely little place!

Amazed by the hosts friendly and warm welcome. Loved having late breakfast at the tiny balcony outside the kitchen, greeting the local neighbours and watch the town waking up. Spotless place, tidy, clean and fresh. Walking distance to trainstation, boat to Cinque terre and shops, markets and restaurants. Highly recommend this charming place for a stay at La Spezia
