We enjoyed our stay at Hillsdale very much. The B&B was clean, comfortable and beautifully decorated and furnished. Steve and Kaz were very pleasant and friendly and looked after us very well. There was a good choice for breakfast. It was convenient having free parking nearby and it was well located for all the restaurants and shops in Ambleside.

We stayed in room 8. Very well equipped. Loved night light in bathroom, vanity mirror and hairdryer. Wine glasses and bottle open great. Extension plugs useful. Loved the decor, very comfortable. Very well thought out. It was a short break for our wedding anniversary. Caz and Steve lovely hosts, very informative. The only thing I personally would have liked, would have been fresh towels, maybe toilet cleaned, tea making facilities topped up and bins emptied. Towels and tea facilities had to be requested in the morning if required. I suppose it’s not a hotel so bedroom service not applied. Breakfast was lovely. Well cooked and lots of choice, although short window for dining compared to other places. We would definitely love to come back again, very home from home. Great location, we loved it! 10 out of 10. 😁

A wonderful two night stay at Hillsdale, Steve & Caz could not have been more helpful and welcoming, the breakfast is delicious and the rooms are immaculately clean and tidy and the bed is super comfortable after a long day of walks, we can’t wait to return when we next go to Ambleside, Thankyou!!

We had a wonderful stay at Hillside and would highly recommend to friends and family. Our room was absolutely beautiful. Owners couldn't do enough for us, even given us recommendations on places to eat. We'll hopefully be back soon, thank you once again

We had a very relaxing stay. Our room was bright, comfortable and had everything we needed for a short stay. Breakfast was lovey and hot and well presented.

It was right in the middle of Ambleside and free parking was included. The room was small, but had everything that we needed and we were only using the room for sleeping as we were touring the area. The owners were very helpful and their recommendation to eat at Lucy's on Church Street was an excellent one. Breakfast was excellent with everything cooked to order. This is a really nice B & B and we highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area.

Yes my stay at the B&B was great had a lovely 4 days there food was lovely and the service would stay there again if we’re in Ambleside nice place to stay

The hosts were very welcoming, friendly and helpful. Hotel has a relaxing vibe with a calming decor recently furnished (sheep theme). Well organised and the hosts’ experience in the trade was evident throughout. Breakfast ordered the night before and was outstanding. Fantastic brekky! Lots of choice. Hot food exceptional. Secure free parking off site was a short walk away and was a plus. Highly recommend this B&B.

Our host was very accomodating, making arrangements for a very late check in. Breakfast was great and food was high quality. Great service and a very delightful couple run the place. These people know the meaning of hospitality.

George and Lindsay made us very welcome, nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast were very good all good quality ingredients, very helpful with advice on walks, restaurants etc. Would definitely go back.

Great place, great hosts. Centrally located in Ambleside so easy to get to and get around. Private parking a few minutes walk away - which is great as it can be difficult to park. Breakfast is great, you essentially list out what you want from the standard full English (with veggie options available) to kippers to cereals. Everything you need to start the day and it's all to your liking. Would recommend to anyone
