Breakfast was very good. Freshly baked bread even though I was the only guest. Very diligent service. Usual continental fare - yoghurts, croissants, bread, ham, cheese, fruit juice.

The room was very hot with no air-conditioning and with the windows open the trains were very noisy. There were no staff at check-in (just after 6pm) so I had to ring to be told where the key was and I had to let myself in. I would expect this with an Airbnb but not an actual hotel. That said, all the staff were very friendly on the phone (and in person the following morning).

I liked the location, which is next to the train station. The room was very spacious, nothing like the current small hotel rooms. The room's interior is traditional old fashioned with a dining room and chairs. The dinner which we had downstairs was excellent and delicious. The staff and service in the hotel were friendly and hospitable. The breakfast was great and I was not rushed to leave. I hope that after the remodel the hotel doesn't lose its charm. '

I can't think of anything that I disliked. It would be difficult to find a hotel as comfortable as Churfirsten these days.
