Family of 3 (with a 6 yo) staying over on a Saturday. Whilst the room was comfortable enough, the hotel food was terrible - microwave meal standard. They put us in a room directly above an event space where loud music played was played until late - you could hear it clearly through the floor and walls making it impossible for all of us to sleep. 6 yo son was very excited to use the pool the next morning and we went at 7:30 on a Sunday morning (which was completely unoccupied) only to be told children were not allowed until 10am. These timings were not made clear at booking and was very disappointing as this was a big factor when choosing the hotel.

Breakfast was good however the evening meal in the restaurant was not. Poor food uncooked food. The rest of the hotel was good.

The hotel was great with a beautiful bar and restaurant overlooking the river. Brad was so brilliant and made sure that I had an adjoining room with my family. He also arranged late check out for us and helped us organise our parking. Brad was so helpful and genuine. He didn’t tire of helping us

The hotel has been recently refurbished and on arrival the reception area is spacious and clean. The staff on reception were very friendly and check in was quick. The room itself had a very large double bed and was very comfortable. The leisure facilities were good - it includes a small pool with Jacuzzi, sauna, steam room and gym, all kept very clean and in good order.
The hotel is in an excellent location close to the river and less than 10 mins walk from the RSC and town centre. We really enjoed our stay and would love to visit again in the future.

Great hotel. Looks amazing inside. Very spacious and open. Beautiful bar and restaurant area but couldn’t get in for dinner despite it being half empty? Offered a half hour wait to come back with no idea how long it would then take to get dinner so ended ordering room service. 40 min wait and still got charged a tray fee despite the long delay! General manager needs to review the Service.

Breakfast time was chaos. No where to sit. Pastries had run out, cooked breakfast not cooked enough, no sign of staff clearing tabels.

Nice stay.
The fire alarm went off in the middle of the night and everyone had to stand outside for a while. Pretty funny and memorable. The staff handled it well.

Super comfy and extremely large bed.
Breakfasts were fantastic with a traditional English buffet along side a European selection.
Close to all amenities just minutes walk away from the centre of town.

Check in was at 3pm which is late but our room wasn't available until 3:30 unfortunately. Then when we went to the pool we were told it was at capacity so had to go on a waiting list and returned back to our room. When we eventually got into the swimming pool it was very small and cold.
The hotel room was big and nicely decorated. It was just a shame it wasn't cleaned very well as there was food bits on the floor and lots of red petals under the bed. Not ideal but the staff were brilliant and gave us free drinks and parking.

We were amazed when we were turned away for by the restaurant dinner on Friday night. We were a group of 8 and we were told they were fully booked despite there being lots of empty tables. Other than that we had a pleasant stay

Avoid rooms on the third floor. They have no opening windows , stuffy, smelly atmosphere and loud air conditioning. The internet was almost nonexistent.

A great experience. Wonderful service from check in till we left. All felt very new, clean and much more stylish than I expected. Comfortable rooms and a lovely bar overlooking the river.

Room has air con but it does not warm enough. We got a separate heater otherwise could not sleep for sure.Water pressure of shower is quite slow, no amendities provided in room such as cotton buds, shower cabs, sanitary bags. Good points are big room for family with 2 big sofa beds.

The hotel has recently been renovated and is modern and stylish. Our room was a good size as it was a club room with comfy superking bed.

Sadly my first room was miles down a corridor and as Im disabled very inconvebient, second room had no water pressure in the bathroom and water just tepid so impossible to shower. Third room was fine but the TV did not have an aerial signal. It made a two night stay rather stressful alas.

Had to make last minute changes but the hotel was very amenable thanks to Katie on reception.

Felt like i was not wanted . Only one member of staff said hello . Check in took ages . Went to bar to get 2 drinks had been acknowledged by barman but when a group of 10 people turned up he ignored me and served them instead. No apology or anything . I felt like as just a couple we were not really wanted . The staff seemed more interested in big groups than just individual people or couples . I WILL NOT BE STAYING HERE AGAIN . I STAYED AT THE ALVERSTONE EARLIER IN WEEK AND THAT IS 10 TIMES BETTER. ALSO STAYED AT THE LEONARDO HOTEL SOUTHAMPTON BIG HOTEL LIKE THIS ONE BUT FELT WELCOME AND NEEDED STAFF FRIENDLY ALWAYS SAID HELLO .

Found the check-in laborious not helped by the staff who couldn’t find our details we booked with Expedia and made us feel as though we’d made a mistake not booking direct
Eventually got to our room but was moved to another room after complaining as this room was noisey

Generally a nice hotel. Check in was slow, room was only just ready on time. Had to pay to park, a bit of a liberty. Room was spacious but tierd and needed a refurb. Linen and towels had been cleaned but didn't look clean. Shower poor too.

Below expectations for a 4-star hotel.
Couldn’t find our booking on arrival delaying check in and frustrating other guests who were waiting. Toilet in room didn’t flush and waited 10 mins at the bar to walk away without a drink despite only 1 customer before me and three bar staff. The following day bar staff took more than 20 mins to clear away last customers plates from our table despite not being overly busy.
Breakfast was fairly good and the lady running it was extremely efficient and pleasant.

The hotel is very conenient to the royal shapespeare's threatre and shops etc. The breakfast is lovely with a good choice of what to eat. The view from the sitting area outside and in, over look the river which is lovely.

Location was good, lots of amenities and easy to park. Outside terrace area and grounds were lovely.
Hotel room was functional, bathroom had a constant smell of sewage. Room was too warm and the aircon did not cool it down.
Breakfast had a good selection of food but typical buffet style and hot food was dry from being left under heat lamps.
All in all a very average stay and very pricey for what it was.

Property ideally situated to walk into town centre, pool and sauna room facilities were good.
Room was ok although marks on carpet and couldn't work the air conditioning system therefore room was very warm.
