We really enjoyed being right on the beach and it was beautiful. We had a terrible time trying to get towels, they never seemed to have any. There is no one in the office to check in and they only come on weekends when it’s busier. You couldn’t get coffee because they were never there. We were told that they had breakfast but that’s bs. The maids always had a problem and acted like they couldn’t speak English until you got upset. The entire hotel needs some renovation and they don’t even have ice machines. You were told to go to their sister hotel.

Booked a night for our family online at hotels.com for what I thought was a deal of $138. Friends meeting us there last minute, got a room booking direct for $70. We arrive and the bathroom was so dirty I had to go buy cleaning supplies to clean the bathroom. Later in the night I noticed that the bed pillows were all covered in black mildew, along with the mattress cover and mattress itself. The clerk that rambled on about how he loves to smoke week and drink fire ball, put us in a suite. The suite was in another bldg and this was at 11pm. We finally get moved in the new room and the air conditioning wasn’t working properly and we laid there uncomfortable for the entire night. I don’t know what the cleaning staff does but it’s not cleaning. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone!

The room was on the bottom floor and smelled terrible (probably black mold) bath tub was stained, what little cooking utensils was in the room was dirty, One bed was broken in the middle and the air conditioner leaked on the patio and made it very unsafe for a 79-year-old woman

Our room wasnt clean. Our bed sheets had sand and food crumbs on them after pulling back the top cover. Had to brush off the sheets. A couple of pillows smelled likevsweat. The towels and wash cloths was dingy and staned. Our cover had a hole torn in it. The mirrow in the living room was all spotted and dusty. The windows looking outside to the beach and ocean was dirty and spotty. They havent been washed . The rooms was nasty. The bathroom wasnt cleaned. Stuff on the floor. Hair in the bath tub and looked like pee behind the toilet on the floor. The toilet didnt want to flush . There was water standing over ankle deep in the pool walk are. They had to sump pump off and sweeping it off by hand with brooms. There was some nasty grime in the bathtub. We stayed 2 nights and not once did housekeeing offer clean linens or toiletries at all. We took out our own trash out. The room had moisture and the tables in the room and the walls and floors was wet. You had to be careful when walking on the floors because youd slip and slide. We wasnt happy staying here but there wasnt anywhere else that was available at the time we booked our room. Cant park golf carts in their small parking lot. Very limited parking spaces do to sharky customers parking in the same lot. We dont recommend this motel unless you have kids under 12yrs old because they eat free at sharkys .

Reasonable beachfront property. Kinda noisy with bars at each ends of the building, especially the East end.
Not the best, but definitely clean and safe and way beach access. Parking sucks!!!
Overall, would stay here again!! I value convenience over luxury and this is the place for that!

They put us by a LOUD band paying until 1am. They pressure washed outside and it flooding entrance to room. No towels in the room had to go to hotel next door to get them. Floors were filthy and tub was bad enough we bought a towel to stand on in the shower. Having to wear shoes in a room after being at beach all day shouldnt have been

Absolutely awful! Limited parking, in the middle of two restaurants super noisy. The pool area was flooded drainage system not working.

Great place to stay if you plan to be minimal amenities.. pool is great beach in the back. Sharky restaurant and bar next door parking lot is shared with restaurant. Inside no bugs but the beds have lots of miles of use on them..ample space to accommodate a family traveling for extended stays..live music next door at the senor frogs so your not going to bed early might as well join the fun..interior is minimalistic at best no bugs at least I didn’t see any..budget friendly at the right price depending on time of season..great stay

The best thing about this property is that the beach is right in front of you. The room had a smell to it the whole time like sewage. Also it was not clean or updated at all. Spots on furniture and yucky feel. Needs to be remodeled but I didn’t stay on the beach for the rooms . I can say the beds were comfortable and had a sofa bed too with a balcony.

BE WARNED!! This property is very outdated, just a slap of interior paint is not going to cover on how old it is. Our room wasnt even cleaned, especially the bath tub. it had mold around the tub, so we had to go get some bleach spray to clean it up before we could use it. Also loud from being next to Senoir Frogs which does not close until 2am.Light always shines through the doors since there is no seal around it & hardly no parking at all, of you are lucky to get one like we did!!

The quality of the rooms appears to have suffered a bit over the last couple of yrs. We stayed there 2 or 3 years ago. It was aged then, but now...consider it falling apart. Rub was filthy, definitely wasnt cleaned. The ceiling above the tub looked as if it was going to fall in on you. I showered with flip flops do to the conditon of the tub surface. Hot water knob was loose and falling off, didnt match the others. Someones hair still stuck to the walls of the shower. The wall near the bed appeared to have something all over it and was not cleaned. The floors definitely werent mopped or cleaned. 2 towels and hand towel were all that was provided in the room for drying off. No wash cloth of any type. The list could go on. Had to check out down front beach road at another hotel owned be the same company because no one was in the office when we were checking out. Until some type of renovation or something is done, we would never stay there again.I gave it 2 stars because it was cheap, but guess you get what you pay for. The view of the Gulf was all that was on point here and we were able to check in early" since or room was ready".

Bathroom was dirty and beds were old. Can’t complain about the price and beachfront location though.

Overall the property lived up to my expectations. It's more of a discount hotel so don't go expecting the Ritz Carlton. The AC worked great which is important to us! The fridge was nice because even though it was small, it had a separate freezer section for us to keep a full bag of ice in. The staff was friendly and replenished towels for us upon request. The bed was comfortable! Parking wasn't the best because the lot is shared by the restaurant (Sharky's next door, EXCELLENT FOOD BTW), but we wanted to park close because we had kayaks on the roof. We just circled around until someone left and it was never more than a few minutes. As expected..... The hotel was older and showing it's age (toilet wobbled, shower knobs seemed finicky but we managed, nothing major), but that's what we anticipated at this rate. We had an excellent time and would stay here again! Thanks, hope this helps!

Well....lol the pictures are not for this hotel they are for the sister property. Its a very basic room. If you stay more then 1 day they do not clean your room at all. Nor do they offer more towels or hand towels or toilet paper! The front desk staff are like dead zombies. No personality no smile nothing. Almost as if we are bothering them by asking for towels. Told the front desk lady, tiffany i believe that i was checking out and she said ok room number and bye. Not a thanks for staying not a smile, nothing lol. Parking is a nightmare bc of sharkys so be ready for parking lot wars and fights! The pool was so green you would have to be an idiot to get in! Sharkys was horrible as well but thats a different review lol! Anyway overall a 2 out of 10 simply bc its right on the beach so convenient is the only good thing about this place.

Only thing I didn't like was how tub started flaking white paint off. So I had to give my son 2yrs old a shower while holding him. That wasn't cool. But everything else was. Oh there was no remote to our TV also. U had to buy your own ice. $4 per bag. Not free like most of hotels. No breakfast either

we left a day early. We went fishing on Sunday got into the room about three in the morning and we had no hot water. We woke up Monday morning and the floor was soaking wet we left.

Not enough parking for guests.. customers from Sharkys restaurant next door and taking up taking where it should be dedicated to only Reef hotel guests. Sink is weird.. knob doesnt nake sense and you have to play with it to get it on or cold.

This place is so terrible my 7yo walked in and called the place "trash".
Start to finish: parking is a nightmare, the lot is shared by sharkys so you have to park across the street, down the road, and even that gets full.
The room was dirty, sand all over the floor. Really run down looking. Blood smear on the bathroom wall. Just felt gross. The beds were so old you could feel every spring, I'm only 110 lbs and i was sinking into the matress. The walls are thin. You can hear the neighbors fart and everything going on on the beach. Also the AC unit was leaking water.
The balcony: the door got stuck the second time we open and closed it, I'm thankful my kids were inside when we closed the door and werent stuck on the balcony. There was something dirty spilled on the balcony, chairs were sticky.
The pool was disgusting and closed, so they sent us to their other property down the road, that pool was also disgusting.
The property in general is run down and filthy, and not safe for small kids as there is high traffic due to sharkys shared parking lot and the need to walk to and from the overflow lot or sister hotel (seahaven).
Not worth the price at all, I will not stay again.

It was a good location, but our bathroom sink didn’t drain, and the shower/tub had a leak. When I got in the tub, it felt like I was walking on a waterbed.

This is the worst hotel i have ever stayed at. I do understand you get what you pay for but this place should be shut down. The pictures they have posted when booking do not depict what you get. The bathroom was absolutely nasty. Do not stay here.

Parking is terrible, the room was dingy and dirty we cleaned it when we got there. Bathtub felt like it was going to collapse in and the fridge was warm. Only good thing was the beach right outside our door.

I want to start off by sayin I never write reviews. But this was the worst experience I’ve ever had at a hotel.
The pool was shut down for maintenance
My kids are so disappointed. We are staying 5 days and having no pool was the first let down.
Our first night here our box spring on one of the beds was broken. My poor elderly mother had to sleep on a broken slope of a bed until they fixed it the next day. A picture on the wall fell on my son’s head from it not having any hooks. The bathtub feels like it’s gonna fall through the floor. And the room smells rotten like cabbage or old trash. And to top it off the parking is a nightmare. We decided not to leave the hotel but only early in the morning in fear of not having a place to park.
It’s very noisy at night. We stay on the ground floor and people are yelling banging and being extremely loud at wee hours of the night.
The only plus side is the staff is really kind. The location is nice.
But this hotel stay is very disappointing and I wish I could be refunded for all the trouble we’ve had. I hope they at least offer a discount for our stay.
