Wir hatten eine andere Unterkunft als Ersatz bekommen. Die gebuchte Unterkunft stand nicht zur Verfügung. Die Information erhielten wir erst am Tag der Anreise. ☹️

Ruhige Lage, dennoch recht zentral in einem Gelände einer alten Kaserne. Umbauten und Neubauten sehr modern. Viele kostenfreie Parkplätze vorhanden.

Missverständnis bei der Schlüsselübergabe, wurde aber schnell gelöst.

We booked "Appartment Alte Kaserne" but got a call from the owner last minutes ( we were on the way to Apparment Alte Kaseme from Groningen, Netherlands, around 7pm ). We were told that there is a mistake with the booking and we should not drive to the appartment we booked. He gave us another address in Emden where we met with a man who tried to send us to a high building with some little rooms inside. He showed us a small room with 2 sinlge beds without kitchen. After a long discussion, finally he agreed to find us another little motel with kitchen in Emden and left us alone. We had to find the motel by ourselves. When we finally reached the motel we could not check-in because we didn't have the code for the key box. It was a cold, rainy and windy Autumn evening, we had to stand outside the motel in the dark and in the rain & wind, with all our heavy luggage!! My husband had to call the man again to ask for the code. When we finally got the key, it was heavy rain and quite dark outside the motel. We had to turn around looking for our room. When we finally found our room we were totally wet and exhausted! It is a nightmare and we feel we were cheated.
