The location was great and we could readily walk or bike to the Whitianga town centre. The proximity to the beach was wonderful and was just a short walk from the villa. We had three generations in our family group ranging from 81 - 3 years old, and the rooms and facilities suited us well. The games compendium and books were much appreciated. The outside staircase connecting the upper and ground floors did not present a problem as we had mostly fine weather. Our family group self catered, and managed to work the gas cooktop OK as, being forewarned, we bought a gas lighter with us. All other appliances worked well. We enjoyed the balconies and patios and were able to keep cool in the very hot weather. I would book Pipi Dune Villa again.

The Council rubbish bins were full to overflowing on arrival, which meant that at the end of our stay we had to bag our rubbish and leave it in the garage. It was unfortunate that the internal lift was not working as one of our family members was on crutches during our stay.

The house was clean, warm and well furnished.

We were given two lock box codes and had to search back through emails to find one that worked! Otherwise it was easy. A suggestion - two sets of keys would have been good given than there was no internal access to either floor. The lift didn't work. The upstairs was lovely although we had no bulb in the bedside lamp. We were unable to find instructions for the TV and the downstairs TV didn't work. These are relatively minor matters.
