Loved the property it was a great as the pictures portrayed it. Very good location and nicely decorated. but had a few issues: 1. Silver Sands was very unresponsive to my inquiries about logistics via email. I tried to call them multiple times but the number listed on VRBO and in their confirmation emails never picked up and did not go to voicemail. 2. They property comes with a "free" gold cart but required my drivers licence and insurance card. SilverSands provides no secure way to upload those to them so I was forced (after multiple emails) to send these unencryted over email in order to use the gold cart. I find this totally unacceptable as that could too easily be intercepted and stolen. 3. Check in time was 4 PM. We arrived at 4:15 PM to find the cleaning crew in the house. They were just starting. We had to drive around town and sit in our car until 5:30 PM before getting into the house. We could not really go eat or shop as we had our dog with us and it was too hot to leave the dog in our car. All we got was a text apology and the statement - well they are supposed to be done by 4. No offer to refund money, but us dinner or anything.

The house is great. Had so many amenities. Spacious, nicely decorated, lots of room for outside entertainment. The only misleading thing beach access. Even that wasn't bad.

House was awesome but not where they say it is.We wanted to stay in downtown Port A so our elderly father could easily walk dog to buy newspaper each morning. We only looked at this area on the VRBO map which showed this property to be walking distance to IGA groceries and most restaurants. Learned upon our arrival that this property is 2 miles from downtown and not walkable to any businesses. The leasing company blamed VRBO. VRBO blamed leasing company but opened a complaint and said we'd hear back from them and leasing company. Three weeks since we've left there and still haven't heard from either.

Loved the stained concrete floors -- really made it easy to clean up the sand we tracked in!! Very nice, but didn't feel like my kids were going to break anything. Close to town, so easy to go eat taking the golf cart. Hammocks got too much stuff on them from the palm trees (leaves, small bugs, etc.) -- look cool, but not worth the space. One of the beds seemed broken in that it slanted downward toward the head and sank completely when you laid down on it. Several walls were bare but have hooks to hang pictures. Ice maker doesn't make ice. We had to buy ice trays. Backyard has rocks instead of grass. Neighbor's grass has stickers. Not foot/paw friendly for pets. No instructions for the T.V. and very few channels to watch. No garage door opener or key pad outside the house. Lots of scary cobwebs in the vaulted ceilings over the living room and in the kitchen. No laundry detergent. The washing machine is extremely loud.

We had 7 people altogether [my family of four (me, husband, kids 11 and 14), my sister, and my aging parents) plus our pup. Finding nice accommodations for all of us to live together sanely for a week can be challenging...happy to say all went well here! The location was great...close to town and the beach...just a quick golf cart trip away! And the area was very quiet and peaceful, seemed safe. The house itself was nice, new, and everything worked. The kitchen was really big, so big if we could have taken a few feet from it and added it to the family room, we would have. The enclosed back yard was nice, and we took advantage of the big grill a couple of nights (there were 3 grills altogether!). We would have enjoyed the hammocks, but the palm trees seem to do a number on them, but they added a nice touch to the yard. The only issue really was the bed in the front bedroom...for such a new house, the bed felt like it was not had a definite sway in the middle and was noisy, and you'd end up in the middle without some effort throughout the night. We had an issue with the shower door in the master not sliding correctly as well...this was fixed right away, so no worries there. One other note, the fitted sheets on a couple of the beds were a bit small, but not a big deal at all. Having the washer and dryer was great, especially since we hit the beach almost every day. The bath towels provided were really nice as well...you don't always get that in a rental! The golf cart was a real bonus, too, for quick trips here and there...and the kids absolutely loved it! Everyone was sad to leave...even my husband after spending 7 days with his in-laws! The house, the management company, Port was all good. We're already planning our next trip!

The beds were comfortable, and the house came equipped with everything we could possible need. The golf cart was the best. Just minutes from the beach on the cart and you were swimming in the gulf. We experienced a slight problem with the air conditioner, but as soon as it was reported, it was fixed as soon as possible. We enjoyed it tremendously and would recommend this property highly! The office where we picked up the code for the door was very friendly and efficient.

Perfect location-close access to beach, restaurants, shopping and bars. This home is the perfect size with a great layout, love all the palm trees, hammocks and the fenced back yard for my fur baby. The 6 seater golf cart is a plus with this home. The only negative we noticed and it would be an easy fix was the AC, only once did it get to 73 and in the afternoon would climb back to 76 and stay there into the night. We would definitely return to this rental knowing AC cooling had been addressed. Lovely Home!

Back yard had not been cleaned-up and had dead palm fronds everywhere. 2. Internet, as advertised, was Not available (Very BIG issue as we had planned to use it to work remotely). 3. Next door neighbor has outdoor pool and Tiki bar. People had very loud outdoor music on all day and until 11pm on Thanksgiving night, which reveberated through our walls. Finally, my son had to ask them to turn down the music. (Very BIG issue). 4. When music commenced at 9am the next morning, went to Silver Sands and found-out that it was a rental, too. Silver Sands rep did ask renters to turn-down music. 5. Unfortunately, although the house itself was very nice, we would not return to it due to the issues mentioned above.

However, the air conditioning never got below 75 degrees.. hovering around 78 all day and by 3am it would be at 75. I'm sure there are other properties that have better air conditioning. Our entire party checked out a day early to travel home in very cool air conditioning. Still no phone call from Silver Sands Vacation Rentals to make it right or return one day's rental money.

The palms & hammocks made for nice, relaxing afternoons reading and dozing after the furkid wore herself out on the beach! It would be great if the fence was fully enclosed & the branches were cleaned out of the backyard. Not a huge deal, but our short-legged bully got hung up on loose branches, which was funny but kinda scared her. :-) Last thing is, take your own shampoo. Everything else was there, but no shampoo. Inside was spotless & comfy!!
