The property is well-positioned -- a nice walk to Pewaukee beach and the lakeside restaurants and shops. I appreciated the modern decor of the house -- fun pops of color and nice design choices for the furniture and wall art. Having the lake behind the house is a pretty view. The train behind the house ran maybe three times through the night. Be aware that there are three bedrooms, but two of the bedrooms are in the basement, and they are musty. We found a fan in the closed-off basement area to help move some air. There are small windows to open, but the screens are in disrepair, so we chose to keep the windows shut. One bedroom in the basement is quite small and does not a full bed, but has a futon. We missed that in the listing. Also be aware there are steep steps to the entrance. The house is positioned below the road, so not ideal for anyone with mobility issues. The house could benefit from a deep clean. Communication with the host was fine. I requested check-out instructions.

The property was cute and clean. The owners were accommodating and helpful. Great location!

It's a lovely house at the lake with a great view, the beach and some nice restaurants nearby. But the trains that are passing by during day and night most likely will sound their horn right behind the property.

Place was set up nicely, very comfortable and nice quiet neighbors. Dishwasher, washer and dryer, showers, water softner, great back porch, all worked really well. Great communications with the owners. We would definitely stay here again!!!
