Very nice looking hotel.
Definitely clean
Only problem I had was there was no hot water. After I mentioned the problem with management, a child was sent to look at the problem.
I had to check other room sti see if the problem was isolated my room.
It wasn't just my room.
Eventually after threatening to call hotels.com I was given another room.
First o was told that its normal to wait 5-10 minutes for hot water.
I told them that in their homes water comes out hot in a motor less

The check in agent was unfriendly and unaccommadating.

This hotel was average, the elevator is slow, the building smell like cleaning solution, the room smell like smoke, the bathroom door is hard to close, there’s no parking and when asked the front desk said parking is full. Overall the place was average. I would stay there because of the price otherwise I would not pay anything over $150 for this.

The T.V turned on but the controller did not work. Took them down they replaced batteries and it still didnt work. The safety lock in the room did not work. Screws were coming off the door. Spent like the forst 30 min trying to figure out the remote situation and had to come up with a way to make sure the room was secure when we fell asleep. Big fight outside across the street that we cldnt tune out cause of no working T.v but staff tried helping. Offered to give me another room in 2- 4 hrs from when we arrived but we didnt want to lug everything to another room. They might also be short staffed.

The attached picture is in front of the hotel. The facilities are underdeveloped and the surrounding environment of the hotel is not good.

Dirty old and really to recommend. Very expensive for that kind of hotel. Every 2 minutes a airplane over the hotel. Big construction next to the hotel.

I stayed at the Sky Hotel for one night. The worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in by far.
Check in took 45 minutes just to get a room key, with the problem being the website you used to book. For some reason if you booked with Expedia you were given a room last with little to no explanation.
The room was disgusting. The door lock was broken and did not work. There were baby roaches in the bathroom and flies everywhere. There was no phone in the room and the TV remotes did not work. The bed had a bed bug trap on it. It also had a very uncomfortable plastic cover under the sheets. After speaking to the front desk we were able to get a new room. If there was an option for a refund I would have jumped at that and stayed somewhere else.
The key we were given was the same one we used for the first room, just with a different number scribbled on it. We were confused on how a key for one room could work on another and found that it opened all room doors. Extremely unsafe and concerning.
The elevator took extremely long to work, the stairs is recommended instead. The water also took very long to warm up.
The staff was pretty friendly, no complaints with them.
The only good part of the hotel was the location. There are plenty of dining and shopping options around. However, overall it was a terrible stay and I do not recommend staying here unless absolutely necessary.

There is no onsite parking so plan to walk to the nearest garage. Smells clean but very deceiving. Floors aren’t swept, our tub was dirty, so were the walls and curtains. Noise from the planes taking off frequently. Needs an upgrade.

My friend & I checked in. We went on the elevator, which honestly scared us. Then we went to our room and it smelled so bad & musty. We opened the curtains and they were so dirty. Then we looked in the bathroom and we found two small roaches in the tub. We decided not to stay. The front desk offered to upgrade our room but my friend & I did not feel comfortable staying. We had to find another hotel asap. I tried talking to hotels.com to get a refund but the hotel itself refused to give a refund. My friend & I are very disappointed. We weren’t in that room for no more than two minutes. We tried calling the hotel two times to talk about it, as hotels.com advisor suggested, and both times the front desk at Sky Hotel, picked up then hung up.

Pros:
Concierge was helpful of my needs and answered my questions diligently. Check-in was at 3pm but they were nice to hold my luggage for safe keeping upon my arrival at noon while I ventured out the area. Room AC was blowing cold air. Good amount of restaurant options in the surrounding area: Chinese, Taiwanese, Thai, Korean, and good amount of dessert shops. Very walkable, even at night time. LIRR was less than 10 minutes away. I felt safe throughout my entire stay.
Cons:
it’s a 3-star hotel and nothing more. I noticed stains on my bed sheet. Towels needed bleaching because they were yellowish and definitely have seen better days. Bathroom had a small travel size shampoo, lotion and tiny bar of soap (no conditioner). I noticed hair on the floor. Shower stall needed updating. Broken security lock on the door.

This hotel is in the ghetto of Chinatown Flushing. It’s over priced for the dirty ripped carpet, blood stained mattress, broken closet doors, smelly bathrooms that make extra noises and bathtub that is slow to drain. It’s noisy place throughout the night. This was a last resort stay for a last minute canceled flight. I will not be staying here ever again. The two good things about this place is that it is close to LaGuardia and the workers are nice. I do not recommend any single females to be staying here alone.

I was horrified by the fact that someone was able to unlock our door at 5:20 in the morning! Thankfully wr had the safety bar engaged or they would have come in completely and not just opened the door partially. Add in the fact that there were dirty thongs hanging innthe closet, food and dirt on the floor and the shower didnt work, made this a horrendous stay. Will never go back and will never recommend it to anyone.

The mattress was BROKEN in room 601 so I didn't sleep all night for fear of falling out of bed.

Disappointed.
We stayed 3 days, w2 nights.
On the second day, we returned to the hotel at 6 pm. In our absence, nobody cleaned the room. The towels were still wet, garbage was not removed , bed was no made.
We had to request for some cleaning and soap/shampoo.
The tv didn’t work, we were told someone was coming to our room to fix it.
Nobody showed up. Definitely, will not return to this hotel

Decent place for a short visit

The room was very unclean with dirty carpets and broken furniture. I was given a room underground with no windows next to a loud ice machine. The air-conditioner barely worked, kept turning off every couple of hours and had exposed wiring (pictures included below). I had a very poor experience, which is a shame because of how expensive the room was for one night. Would not recommend

This area looks to be up and coming. The hotel does not have the nicest lobby, but the staff is friendly and room is clean. You can tell they are spending money to improve the place and the neighborhood is also upgrading.

Twisted my ankle in the bathroom because drain behind the sink is lower than floor level. Cheaply run place.

I have stayed for 9 nights with my family and overall we had a pleasant stay. Obviously we were prepared and not expecting a 5 stars (like the Renaissance in front).
Pros: We had an executive suite with king size bed at the 3rd floor. In general the furniture, floors and bathroom have clean and remodeled look. The team at the front desk is very friendly and the couple of times I made special requests they were very responsive.
We felt very safe walking around - even at 11pm-12am. There are tons of chinese bakeries (Maxim Bakery and Iris Bakery our favs) to get breakfast, 2 modern shopping malls (Tangram and Sky view) and plenty of restaurants to eat (Zou’s our fav for dinner).
Nice and walkable distance (5-7 min) to the Flushing Main metro station to get to Manhattan in 30 min without changing trains and even being able to get up to Hudson yards on the same line!!
Cons: Did not get our room cleaned everyday, had to stop 3 times to the front desk and request for the service. No matter every time our room was cleaned and we got fresh sheets one time there were several cigarette burns through all the sheets.
One time one of the guys tried to open the door of the room at 7:00 am (without knocking the door) stating he was bringing fresh towels (while we were sleeping and without requesting those?)
There is a lack of noise reduction between rooms/halls. You can hear people talking, crying, arguing, etc at any time.
If you are on budget, very recommended!

The tub was dusty, the folded towel on the edge of the tub had a brown stain that looked like someone wiped their bottom with it, the air conditioner did not cool and stayed at 60’ degree’s despite it being 70 degrees in the room, the tv was initially unplugged and access to all functions were locked when I plugged it in, the walls are so thin that I could hear other guests snoring on their respective rooms as I waited for an elevator in the hall, but I didn’t report any of this to the staff because this running theme of neglect seems to be hotels style.
The staff was nice but I barely had any interaction. The areawas OK and in the center. It’s close to the bus that took me to LaGuardia.
I didn’t enjoy my stay because it felt very filthy.

Stayed for just a night with my girlfriend. Worked fine for us! However there were surfaces that were dusty on the floor and the shelves that is out of character for other hotels. The oddest thing was how the sink’s faucet was not secured to the sink itself, turning on the water ran the risk of yanking the whole mechanism out!Bed was clean, and overall there were no major issues aside from the wonky sink. For the price and the location it was ideal for us!

We were on our way back from Europe and it was a great place to lay our heads in preparation for our next flight. Front staff was very friendly. Thank you!

It was good for a one night stay. But the bathroom had a bunch of black hairs on the tub and walls. The white towels had brown stains on it and there was no remote to the tv. I was on the first floor and when I tried to sleep I kept waking up to doors slamming and noise in the hallway. It was a decent stay for the 120$ I paid. But never going back. Thank you.

It is an unhappy trip, the room is not clean and the bathroom makes noise and the topfloor gets broken. but it is cheap, it only makes you feel not bad.

I don’t recommend this hotel. It is poorly (cheaply) managed. Bed sheet appeared not changed (with hair), no heat, not hot water (later fixed, but hot water on & off), very noisy (window had no soundproof, street noise, airplane noise). The room was cold, so I requested for an extra blanket and slept with my sweater on. Bad experience! Receptionist was friendly. It had 4 off street parking spaces, $20 each per night, much cheaper than garage. It is also very convenient to many restaurants.

It’s a simple but good hotel nearby the metrostation. There are a lot of restaurants in the neighborhood.
The employees of the hotel are very friendly and helpful.
