This place is far from its potential. It could be a simple 5 stars if some major points would get improved and as the other reviews seems as made by friends I want to compensate for that and show that you should be aware of some important things that made your stay here challenging. First, the owner was not present both of the days I stayed here, this and the thing that the wifi did not work made my stay very challenging  I had to go to a lovely neighbour who saved me in helping me with my basic needs - check in. The host even promised me that he would be present and that the wife would work. That did not happened so the reability of the host is questionable. Also, he trier to lie to me when I raised the issue with not working wifi. He said his phone was available with an open hotspot, which was a lie as it was available only during his presence, which was very brief time in the evening - after There were other negative things as a bedsheet is not a blanket and it is not enough for to sleep in the tree house, at least for me, I felt cold, but to be fare there were also some positives as a welcome drink from the soursop from the garden. But to me, to have a realiable host that is trustful and welcoming is way too important to be a successful place to stay.

This place is village type guest house and rooms are faced to a lakeside. Owner is very friendly and very helpful. We spend a night and it was awesome. Definitely worth it. 👌

We are back again in this lovely hotel. Staff as always so welcoming and take care about our good stay. Clean and cozy place.

I had a wonderful stay at the guesthouse. If you are looking for a quiet place surrounded by beautiful nature in an authentic Sri Lankan village, this is the place for you. The owner and his family are very lovely. He took great care of me and the street dogs and got me a bike and meals. The place is also ideally located between Sigiriya and the Cave Temple in Dambulla. Absolutely recommended if you are in the area.
