This historic hotel gave us everything we could have wanted during our stay in Positano. The hotel had a beautiful view of the Mediterranean and offered us a comfortable place to wind down after our lengthy stay in Italy.

Beds were a bit dated, but we didn't mind much.

Beautiful location and is only 10 minute walk away from a smaller private beach, which everyone says is a hidden gem. Definitely recommend this hotel! rooms were amazing, we had a lovely view of the coast. Breakfast was perfect! we only stayed 1 night but it was perfect for us as it was a surprise for my partner's birthday!

Staff allowed a slightly earlier check-in which was good. Location was fairly good and property was clean and good breakfast with great views.

Not an overly warm welcome. After check-in I was walked to a totally different property quite a few steps away which I hadn't been expecting. It still had sea views but less impressive than what I felt had been sold. 2 hours after checking in I was messaged reminding of check-out and asking me to ensure I had plans to leave on time. It felt unfriendly and like they were rushing me to move on to bring someone else into the property.

Staff were incredibly helpful with arranging drivers and tours in the months leading up to our stay.

The staff was super friendly and helpful, which was not our experience in many Italian cities so it really stood out just how nice the entire staff was. Breakfast was good but was made great because of the incredible view.

My husband and I have stayed at Casa Guadagno during our honeymoon in Positano. It's a small family run 'pensione' in Fornillo quarter of the town. It's closer to the smaller Fornillo Beach (it's about 360 steps down) which we preferred as the main Positano beach was just too busy to relax. We really loved our room with a private terrace with a great view. The hotel staff were wonderful too. They welcomed us like old friends. Big thank you to Floriana and Filoteo for looking after us. Casa Guadagno was our home away from Scotland for nearly 3 weeks and we hope to go back soon. We highly recommend booking way ahead of your trip as those rooms will be booked out before you know it!

The property has a great location with large verandas overlooking the Amalfi Coast and the sea. It is beautiful! Also, the staff were kind and helpful. Breakfast is served in a nice open area overlooking the sea and there is a decent selection.

The rooms are much smaller than pictured online, and the beds are not comfortable. We had three adult family members with four large pieces of luggage. The room for 3 people would be better for a couple and a small child with limited baggage. I think management should also strongly recommend that anyone arriving by ferry use the porter service. We were debating and fortunately, the porter explained to us the challenge in reaching the property, especially the shorter route with 400 stairs. We would have never been able to navigate the property by foot with all the stairs with our multiple pieces of luggage.

This was a perfect location for our Positano stay. We had a beautiful view, were directly above the Fornillo Beach and convenient to town. The staff was very accommodating- the breakfast was delightful and the one time we had an issue(power went out briefly) it was resolved quickly. Thank you!
