My stay at Sago was really great overall.
The location is fantastic and the staff is amazing!! Christopher at the front desk in particular was very helpful during my stay.
My friends and I ran into an issue and the hotel manager—Yoland remedied the situation to our complete satisfaction and actually went above and beyond my expectations.
This was my second stay at Sago and I was very happy on both occasions. Their breakfast is wonderful as well as their pool.

My stay was lovely upon arrival. Everyone was kind and accommodating. I decided to eat at the restaurant for dinner wit my family and the wait staff and chef colluded to overcharge me. I brought it to the attention of the hotel manager. They basically charged me separately for the sides that are included with the meals. I didn't order any extra sides. They intentionally overcharged me, not expecting me to check. She recalculated my bill which ended up being $25USD less. It was an awful experience. I am sure they have done this many times before to foreigners. The chef comes out to laugh and smile with the patrons and encourage wait staff to cheat people. This incident ruined my trip.
The other, issue was the noise from a club nearby. The noise was unbearable and straight through the night. This hotel is in an awful location because of noise.

Check in was good, We enjoyed our stay as the Sago which has been through a renovation. Housekeeping provided wonderful service. We were overcharged on drinks placed at the bar which I should have made a note at the time with management. After check out, management made a mistake on the count of towels, robes and linens in the room, called me advising of this discrepancy that was essentially an accusation that we took a robe from the room. The situation eventually was resolved but should have been verified internally before guest involvement.

The male night front desk worker was very lazy and disrespectful he expected us to unclog the toilet and left it clogged all night. They bought us ice with plastic frozen in the ice. Our first room had sand on the bed & floor. Pretty hotel but it needs better workers.

The rooms were modern, and there were no problems with anything. The customer service was excellent as well. The only shortcoming I could see was that they didn't have a lift or elevator to the second floor. I suppose that single negative point would make the hotel not handicap friendly. Other than that, I highly recommend this hotel.

The hotel was a 5 minute walk from the public beach and was close to many different food options. However, the hotel reataurant was so good that we could have stayed on the property for all meals. The pool was a good size and was well maintained. The workers were all very helpful and made the stay very enjoyable.

I love this hotel. We had a 5-Star experience in this boutique hotel. The staff were always friendly and smiling. From the front desk staff, to the restaurant staff, to the bar staff to the handyman to the very pool cleaner it was exceptional. The food was always delicious. They offered Jamaican and Americam cuisine. The room was emaculate, it gave a grandoulous feel because of the high ceiling. My husband is from Ocho Rios so I will definetly be staying there again and recommending it as well.

My stay was wonderful and relaxing. The hotel gas been updated since my last stayband it's absolutely beautiful. The place is immaculate. My room was so cozy and we really enjoyed the pool view. The team was extremely friendly and do very accommodating.

The hotel is remodeled nice location in town walk to everything. if you are not looking for an all inclusive. Breakfast is available. Wasn’t that great the first morning. Pros: The hotel looks new and the room was very comfortable. Breakfast was very good, nice roof terrace with small swimming pool. Nice private parking. Centrally located.
Cons: No windows in the room, some hairs in the shower from previous guests, no hand soap, but there was shower gel, shampoo and conditioner.

Good location in the middle of downtown Ocho Rios. Breakfast was good. The front desk charged me twice & has an old manual paper system to document stays so my money could not be refunded without a lengthy research of their “files.”

My stay at Sago Palm was excellent, the breakfast options were great and so was the food as well. I celebrated my boyfriend’s birthday and got our room decorated and it was worth it! Our 2 night stay was extremely comfortable and the hotel is so clean and the ambiance is amazing!
The staff were exceptional! Renneil at the front desk was super helpful and made our check in process run smooth. All in all it was an awesome stay!
