Great location, great employees. Made lifelong friends! The tour in the morning on bikes was a great way to see the countryside.

Everything is perfect. From the seamless check-in process to the amazing team that manages this place. Rutu, Ashish, Mandeep and the rest of the team are running a superb hostel. They arguably have one of Udaipur's best locations and rooftop views. My go-to spot in Udaipur from now. Big shoutout to Rutu and Ashish. Thanks for a great stay. Will be back soon.

I loved the location. Also, the decor in the common area was lovely. Room was comfy with all time hot water for shower.

Nothing in specific. Didn't find kitchenette which is usually there in the backpacker hostels.

Perfect location close to the lake, Tempel and city palace. very nice dorm rooms with curtains and comfy beds. free drinking water available and the staff was super friendly. the rooftop cafe is a great place to relax and the food is also great.

An amazing place to stay in Udaipur. Fantastic rooftop view and really nice café on it. Great place to see the sunset. Rooms are clean and well maintained. Beds comfortable. Easy to reach and in the heart of Udaipur. Perfect place for solo travellers who can meet each other on the rooftop and mingle around. Definitely a place I would recommend.

I asked for help to get a TukTuk in the morning. They said they will help to get one (cause of course it's cheaper for locals) but I ended up to get one on my own and paid an insane price which I have never paid anywhere else in India for such a short ride to the train station.

The view from room is excellent. Food is also awesome. Full on Bombay style

The hostel is perfectly located and had a very nice restaurant. Definitely one of the best views in town from the terrace The room was spacious and bed comfortable. Staff very friendly and helpful

Unfortunately we found our room a bit dirty: there was quite some dust in several places if the room including the bedhead, nightstand and few corners. The walls of the bathroom had also some mold in some places.

It was an amazing time at Hostel Mantra. It is perfectly located near the Gangour Ghat, at a walking distance from places like Bagore ki Haveli, City Palace, Ambrai Ghat. Bhushan and Rhutu are great hosts and had the best recommendations of places to visit and things to do nearby. The WiFi at the hostel is really good; you can stream 4k videos easily at that speed. You wouldn't have any problem if you are looking to work during your visit to Udaipur. They also ensure cleanliness of the dorms and the common area on a daily basis. Their cafe is really good and serves some amazing food. Do try their fried chicken fingers and egg muffin ;) The rooftop had a great vibe. It is perfect for backpackers/digital nomads. I ended up meeting some amazing people there. Overall the stay exceeded my expectations.

Nothing much really that I did not like. Just that they do not have an elevator, so book the hostel only if you are fine with climbing stairs.

The property is beautiful like a haveli and the ambience on the rooftop is amazing. It was always alive on the rooftop and to top it up the view from there is simply mesmerizing. The cafe has some decent food. Loved the Bombay sandwich there. Rooms were clean and the hygiene was always maintained around the property. Owners Ashish and Bhushan were always involved with the guests and ready to assist with anything anytime. There were game night, karaoke night, movie screening and much more. Met a lot of solo travellers from across India and the world. Overall this was a good start to my solo journey ahead.

the staff is just the most nice, welcoming, friendly you could find. Ashish and Bhushan, and Sreeya (that stayed here for long time and volunteered). Room is really comfortable and big (female dorms), rooftop is spectacular. I felt back home with old friends even though I just stayed for 4 days. Grateful for this experience !

Great location, really pleasant and clean rooms, but the thing that makes this such a good place to stay are the staff. All of the people are incredibly helpful and generous with their time and advice. 

It’s a beautiful, well maintained property. The staff are helpful and lovely to hangout with. My favorite part of staying at Hostel Mantra was spending my evenings at the rooftop/ cafe watching the sunset.

The hosts and the Hostel administration was super friendly. They made sure everyone was included in the evening chill scenes and was not left alone. The interior was so aesthetically pleasing, just like royal Udaipur stay. You could actually see the lake from the roof at anytime.

Honestly nothing against the hostel.

Hostel Mantra is located within proximity of Lake Pichola and the City Palace; the in-house chef's magic is complemented by an amazing view of the lake from the rooftop cafe. Clean lenins, prompt service and effective communication make your experience worthwhile.
