De service van het personeel was top! Heel vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Daarnaast hebben we goed gebruik kunnen maken van de fietsen. Dit was erg handig om de omgeving te kunnen verkennen. Ontbijt was lekker en vers. Broodjes en zuivel kon je zelf pakken. Daarnaast maakt de kok op bestelling vers omeletjes, pannenkoeken en dergelijke.

De muren van de kamer zijn erg dun. Je kunt gesprekken van anderen letterlijk volgen vanuit je kamer. Een verbetering zou dus zijn om iets te doen aan de geluidsisolatie, zodat je als bezoeker meer privacy ervaart :)

Nine Dots is a lovely hotel perfectly located in old San Miguel. Everything was very clean and neat. The lovely art decorating the walls was uplifting. Every staff member was helpful and polite. The trip to the airport was simple and short with taxis easily available. Overall: excellent.

This hotel was spectacular in every way! The location is perfect, within the charming older area of Ponto Delgada, and close to the harbor. The architecture, art and finishes within the hotel were classic and elegant. Rooms were spacious, bathrooms were gorgeous marble with gold-toned fixtures, our rooms (family deluxe suite) had small balconies, each floor’s common area had a lounging area, and an outdoor 3rd floor terrace and lower level garden are available for guests. The breakfast was amazing and included fruit, meats, cheeses, croissants, fresh baked goods, freshly-squeezed orange juice, and cooked-to-order omelettes, pancakes, eggs Benedict, lattes, cappuccinos and more. There was even a fresh bee hive dripping with fresh honey for your yogurt or oatmeal. Room service was available and the hotel also had a lounge-style bar with food and outdoor seating that was open late. Staff consistently provided top-notch service and efficiently and professionally booked all of our excursions and car service. And the spa - THE SPA! - was incredible with its beautiful pool, calming music and steam room. We were even able to book massages with Bianca in the spa - perfection. Really a fantastic stay!

Location is perfect. In city center and with lots of bars and restaurants close by. Car parking in 3 minutes walking distance (paid: approximately 10 euro’s a night). Breakfast was good, not super special, but fresh and good quality. The bar on the ground floor looks very good and has a nice fine, when it’s a little more crowded. Wines and food in the bar are nice!

Room was not cleaned twice. Coffee and thee were not refilled in the room. Had to ask for this multiple times. When we noticed that the room was not cleaned and asked the staff to do it, it was done in a very bad and fast way. Not completely and not good enough. The hotel looks beautiful, but when you are paying this amount of money per night, you should get the basics right. Cocktails (in the bar) are a bit pricey and service can take a while… The staff (except two guys at the bar) look like they don’t want to be there and they are not liking their jobs. Especially the staff in the restaurant (except a friendly looking big guy, who did excellent). I requested flowers and a bottle of champagne for our anniversary.
