The host is prompt at responding to enquiries and access information (location, door codes, etc.) was clear and easy to understand. The location of the property is a short walk to Berala station, making it easy to access if you don't have a car as well.

I paid a premium price to stay for 1 night ($149) and the property had a good score from 'external websites'. My room was infested with mould; it was in the chair, artwork and ceiling, and there was evidence on the ceiling where the mould had been previously attempted to be wiped away as there were green/brown streak marks evident. The bottom half of the curtains were damp and the atmosphere of the room was hot and muggy and had a musty smell to it. I can see how from this alone the mould was able to grow so easily. When I arrived, the window was open which masked the smell; of which it became known to me after returning to my room again after a few hours of having the window closed. There was no lock or latch on the window either, which felt like a security risk, as my room was street-facing. The bathroom also didn't have a proper latch or lock on the door, so I needed my backpack combination lock to keep it closed / locked while I showered. The silicone around the sink also had mould growing on it. Street parking wasn't as readily available as what I thought it would have been either. I've stayed in backpackers' in the heart of Sydney for a third of the price and all of them were a lot cleaner and more secure. None of them had a mould infestation either. Spend your money elsewhere.
