Excellent Hotel! Great Location not too far out of town perfect for travelling into the centre if needed, very comfortable, wonderful breakfast, really enjoyed the swimming pool and hotub! all the staff are very helpful and welcoming! I enjoyed that the hotel was not too central as there were other places i wanted to go other than the center of the city. Would happily stay again!

Lovely hotel in public areas, our room unfortunately felt a bit dated and dull decor wise but it still did the job. If the room vibe was just as nice as the rest of the hotel that would have been better. Other than that good hotel all round.

Stay was lovely but the food choice wasn’t your taste we did order a burger and chips from the hub but it came out good then the next lot of chips came out over cooked

The bed was terribly not comfortable. The floor of the water room was not clean. No paper tissues and a small was missing the last day. Not happy with this hotel 5 stars !

Nice staff, room was clean and modern. Pool was great, even have a second lap pool. The 19th floor restaurant was a great experience, great service and chef!

Really liked the fitness center and pool. The WiFi was horrible and usually couldn't get a connection. Property is far way from the city center and shopping/dining options.

No 5 star experience! Roomservice did not fully clean the room. Came back to hotel and all trash from a full day stood in front of our room door (very disgusting and unpleasant!!!). Old leather furniture is sticky. No employee beside the guy checking me in, did greet me. Furthermore it seems you have to be a rich fu‘k to get greetings. „Security and concierge“ never did, even when they would pass by me for someone else. When asking front desk if they had a scale to weigh a luggage bag they replied with not having such (are you fu“king kidding me? The whole „porto palacio hotel and spa“ doesnt have a single scale in the house???).
Guess what: Of course they did have one and i even found it myself in the locker rooms of the hotel gym!

My husband and I booked two suites for ourselves and another couple. We loved our rooms, they were spacious and had wonderful city views of Porto. Easy access to the Douro and to the beach. We will stay here again!

This hotel may have been 5* 20 years ago but it's definitely not today. It's living on past reputation, which leads to disappointment. I had to get my room changed after the first night because it smelled of smoke, the bed was uncomfortable and the bathroom was dingy. Apart from the friendly staff, It was not what I expected and I wouldn't recommend.

The hotel is old and needs a refresh. The area is ok but you need to taxi/bus to get to nicer places to eat and explore.
Some staff were very helpful but unfortunately, one in particular was not at all helpful. Don’t expect to get into your room before 3pm. Even then we had to Walt and didn’t receive any welcome or advice about the facilities. Very average!
