Whilst the location of the hotel was convenient for us to attend a meeting and the restaurant/lobby area was pleasant, this stay and experience was unfortunately let down by the terrible state of the room. This part of the hotel is not only out dated in decor but poorly maintained and dirty. There were rotten door frames, stained carpets, black mould and cigarette burns on the sheets. The heating/fan system is also very old and noisy so it was a choice between using the climate control and being disturbed by the noise or being cold overnight

Professional and friendly welcome at check in. Room ready as expected. Good location for the university campus and around a 30 minute walk/5 min drive from the railway station.
Entrance is fresh and modern but rooms are more functional with both bedrooms and bathrooms probably due an update.

We called the hotel the day before to make sure I had a double bed. When I arrived i got checked in to 2 single beds. It was rectified.
My room was old, carpet was quite dirty, bathroom was really bad and when I opened the curtains the next morning the were very dirty and mouldy. It totally didn’t reflect at the rest of the hotel as it was recently renovated but seems the rooms haven’t. So disappointed.

Everything was as what you would expect from a Holiday Inn. Staff are all very friendly and helpful. The only complaint (?) would be that the pool and gym area closes way too early at 8:30 pm.

Excellent holiday inn. Stayed 2 nights, excellent customer service, staff were all brilliant. Spa facilities were excellent, breakfast and dining facilities were also excellent. Could not fault a thing.
