The hotel had no soap and no shampoo and were “waiting for a truck” to deliver new soap and supplies. The main areas were in desperate need to vacuuming. The night manager who checked us in didn’t say a word about the lack of soap. That’s basic hygiene. How were all these guests washing their hands before touching the breakfast food? What manager doesn’t make the decision to go to the dollar store and get enough soap to get them through to their next shipment? Just wild.

The room was dark. I wouldn’t shower in the bath it was so stained. The door wouldn’t open all the way. I can say the reception staff were pleasant and efficient and it is conveniently located.

Obviously the hotel is being remodeled so perhaps it will improve. It is also convenient to this part of time. We had to switch rooms because the heater didn't work in the first. The beds were comfortable. Trash pickup throughout the hotel needs to improve. At least one of the employees smoked marijuana near the building with the smell coming in our room and the hallway. Also, in both rooms the tub & shower needed bleach to eliminate the mold/mildew around the edge.

I stayed at this hotel last year around the same time, and it was great for a quick overnight stay. This year, they are doing some construction, so things were a bit messy around the property. Not a big deal as it could use some upgrades. But...I found a cockroach in my room. I killed it, and didn't find any more, but you know what they say. I was afraid that they would get into my food snacks. I was supposed to stay 2 nights but cut it short to just the one night.

Property was dirty dingy and no amenities. Pool closed unlike what the Expedia website stated. The vending machines took money but empty and no money returned. The room Ac barely worked even after being moved to a “better” room. Hotel refused to allow us to cancel and Expedia also denied us a cancellation. We will never stay at a Comfort Inn or use Expedia for future trips and travel.

Great location for access to Presque Isle State Park and all associated attractions. We had a good stay and enjoyed the breakfast.

I stayed at this hotel for the Erie Marathon. The entire hotel was marathon runners. The hotel boasts a morning breakfast, but did not offer the breakfast earlier so the runners could enjoy some food before the race. In fact, for a sold out hotel, I can’t imagine any of the food was eaten. I have run many road races, and hotels are always accommodating of runners, a token of gratitude for a selling out. ** Staff was VERY lovely and helpful

Pleasant, close to Presque Isle SP, courteous friendly staff, clean and great complimentary breakfast- good coffee, and biscuits, too!

We have stayed at this location before it became a Comfort Inn and after. The rooms are very roomy and nice. One complaint is the vanity in the bathroom has very little counter space. You tend to have a lot of stuff with you because you're traveling. Also, there is no exhaust fan in the bathroom. The bathtub could have used a little shot of clorox on the tub surround. One good thing is there was lots of hot water. The breakfast is much improved since they became a Comfort Inn. The location is great if you're going to Presque Isle or Waldameer. It has an outdoor pool, which we wanted to use, but it was already closed up for the season before Labor Day. Labor Day is supposed to be the last day it's open, but unfortunately it was not. Otherwise it's a nice property and we'd stay again in the future.

Right off the bat, the pool was closed for the season, even though it was supposed to be open for Labor Day weekend. It was very dirty in our room. The bathroom door was broken. And the morning of checking out I found two bugs on the night stand between the two beds in our room. The only thing that saved me from going to a different hotel is the one front desk girl. She was very nice and tried her best to accommodate the worries I had. I would not likely stay here again.
