We always stay here when shopping and visiting Kansas City....it's def our go to, but unfortunately this time we had no working hot tub and NO a/c (had switched central system to heat). Our room got up to 78-79 degrees but front desk did offer a box fan. Otherwise breakfast is delicious, comfy rooms, small bathroom, but overall a decent place for the budget.

Friendly staff, nice breakfast, clean room. Not great water pressure..the room was very very warm but thankfully the window was able to open so we could let some cool air in. Overall, a nice stay :)

Was supposed to stay at the hotel for 3 nights. I canceled 1 night before I got there due to a family event I couldn’t miss but I canceled my second night after my first nights stay because of how terrible it was. I checked in about 12:30am and was exhausted, otherwise, I would not have stayed. I got into my room and it was 80 degrees and humid. They offered a box fan stating that all the AC had been turned off “for the season”, this was mid/end October and still hitting 80+ degrees during the day. I slept with the window open and fan running full bore trying to cool it down. It did finally drop to about 74 degrees but then it was very muggy and my sheets were damp from having the window open. Bed was also uncomfortable and bathroom was very small. I barely slept that night.

I have stayed at the Hotel Lotus Merriam many times when I'm in southwestern KC. It is an older hotel, so yes the fixtures are older, but everything is clean. I've never had a dirty room, no mildew on the bathroom tile, and I've never seen a bug. It's not super noisy and the beds are comfortable to me. The workout room is clean and has just enough of what you need. This is the first time I've brought my family and we enjoyed the breakfast and pool. The location is great. It's right off I-35 and there are many food options nearby. I will continue to stay here in the future when I'm on this side of the city.

Heat was in the middle of being switched, so it was still cold. Chose this hotel for the hot tub only to find out the day of check in it’d been broken for a while. Had to get out own towels replenished. Pool was not warm.

Another comfortable stay at the Lotus. Staff is very friendly and accommodating. Breakfast is top notch. Room was clean and comfortable.

It was mostly great. The pool was nice and warm. The room was great, except for the room temperature control. We couldn't warm it past 70 degrees. Breakfast was excellent! I think the overall value was good.

Employees were polite & efficient. Building was clean, well kept. Our room was clean & comfortable. Great lighting in the parking lot.

They don’t have heat/air temp control in your own room They said it’s run on same temp for every room. The air conditioner was on and no way to turn it off. The gave me an electric heater for the room which helped

Extremely friendly and helpful front desk personnel. Great breakfast buffet with lots of choices. This is my 3rd stay here abd have 2 more already booked for next year.

The attendent at the desk when we checked in was very polite and professional. The room was so spacious and clean it made the stay so relaxing. The location of the hotel is close to highway entrance but still within driving distance to some really great eats.

Hotel is in a very convenient spot, easy to get to multiple "tourist"y spots and there are tons of food and shopping options a short drive away. Hotel itself was clean, quiet, and felt safe. Parking lot was lit and had plenty of spots. Any staff we encountered was friendly. The lobby smelled good haha. I'd stay here again without a second thought.

This is the nicest smelling place? A lot of hotels advertise smoke-free but smell smoky and musty. Not this place. Everything was very clean. Breakfast was plentiful and good. I will be back in the near future.

This is a very nice Hotel and in a nice location. The only problem I had was the air conditioning didn’t work in the first two rooms they tried to put me in. The third room air conditioner worked great.

the hotel was nice. When arrived I had paid for my reservation up front and when I checked in the made me pay a 50.00 deposit after I had already pay for the room. The breakfast was ok my son got a milk for his cereal and when he opened it he told me it tasted funny. When examined it it was curled and experied.the pool was nice didn't get to check out the hot tub due to it being under maintenance during my stay. For one night it was ok.
