Very good location and the room was very spacious, however the breakfast was not good. Had to wait for items to come out and the bacon looked like it had been boiled. The coffee was in a flask and very weak. Not what I have experienced at other hotels in the chain.

Terrible noise from parties below unbearable. Deluxe room shouldn’t be right about function rooms. You expect to pay a bit more and get a better experience. This definitely wasn’t the case. Good location though. Two shocking nights sleep.

Hotel was lovely and in a good location for all our sight seeing and shopping . Our room was spacious and clean .

Staff and quality of room great, however, no tv remote in room and staff couldn't provide a replacement. The cleanliness of the room could have been a lot better too.

I'll start by saying the staff are lovely, welcoming, friendly and helpful. The breakfast was great, everything included you could wish for. However, the room we were put in (32) was situated at the back end of nowhere up and down stairs to get to with incomplete handrails and a spongy floor for my mum to tackle. A large step down in to our room. The carpet was loose between the bathroom and the room, causing my mum to trip but luckily not fall in the night, the floor was very uneven. Gaping hole between sockets in the wall and dreadful door repair. The toilets downstairs by the bar: cheaply painted doors with no handle, the toilet roll holder falling off, loose toilet seat, no actual buttons to press to flush and the rusty bin foot pedal was now just a metal prong no the pedal I assume it was broken off. Shuffle board, lack of sand and a piece of wood shoved down the side which was the broken piece from the end I'd assume. We love the Hilton chain but will most certainly not stay at this one again. Tried uploading photos, it won't let me

Hotel is in a very good location & main areas of the hotel are very nice. However our room was across the carpark, up some very wet stairs.
The corridor to the room & the room itself smelt a bit musty. Room was spilt on 2 floors with very steep, narrow stairs to get up.
Main issue was no housekeeping on our stay - which there should have been.
When we reported this to the man on reception that evening, he just said he would let that team know.!!!!
The lady the next day at checkout was much more appologetic & helpful.

We have stayed twice before & had a very good experience. The hotel was freezing, cold at breakfast, we had dinner on 2nd night & there was only one tiny radiator which was not on. The assistant said it only came on once an hour. Our bedroom was the only warm place.
We were unfortunate to have a couple next door to us who decided to have a terrific row which disturbed us between 10pm & 1am the police were called, but no apology to us the next day!
Lastly the toilet was not clean on arrival & left like that for our 3 days.

very nice hotel with excellent spacious room and massive bed. Welcoming staff and free cookie at checkin. Marvellous breakfast with many options. Definitely recommend.

A lovely hotel in a great location. We had a well fitted disabled room in the Town House adjacent to the hotel.The bathroom was perfect with a shower, bath and lots of handles and there were 2 double beds.
There was a bed and bowl for our dog with dogs allowed in most of the public areas of the hotel.
Great staff, service and food too.

Lovely stay. Gorgeous large room for a family room - 2 doubles plus a cot. Felt really accommodated with young children. Just be careful that there are 5 Hilton’s in York so we went to the wrong one initially 🙃

Absolutely lovely hotel situated within easy walking distance of the minster and the shops.
Hotel room was clean and cosy. Tea and coffee station which is always my favourite and warm cookies on arrival!

Lovely hotel with very friendly staff. Had a very warm welcome and the warm cookies were a lovely touch. Our room was clean and tidy. Struggles to connect to the WiFi. Parking was limited. I had to park across the road at the closest car park

At reception to check in as we couldn't find a parking space. There was a receptionist who had long blond hair and had only started the job a few days earlier. She tried very hard to be helpful and advise us about parking. We had just had a very long journey and was tired and stressed. The other receptionist was not as good. Spoke quite rudely to me and when i said i wasnt happy that we had to another car park and pay £20 and then move the car at 8am or pay even more she said well we would have chaged you £50 to park in here. I find this disgusting. We had already paid £245 which i think is far too expensive. To have the cheek to then try and charge £50 to park is disgraceful. Very stressful start to our stay in york. There wasnt even a biscuit to have with our cup of tea when we went to the room. The hotel is lovely and the breakfast was great but the parking situation is ridiculous. My husband then put the car in a space near the entrance door and the receptionist who had been rude said you cant keep it there. Those spaces are just for drop off. There was a car in the next space and it was still there the next morning so they obviously arent just for drop off. The blond receptionist was lovely and she will be an asset to the hotel. The other one needs some training in customer service. I realise that there isnt a lot you can do about the car park but that situation was not good and had a negative impact on us. If guests need to park they should not be asked for £50
