To call this hotel outdated would be an insult to outdated hotels. This place is an old and moldy ghostown, and I’m not speaking about the guests. There is essentially no staff. Not in the pool, not at the restaurants, not at the bar. No one to help or serve, and until you finally do get served it takes hours and they charge you automatic gratuity fee ( how about you let me decide how I value your services ?). For the dry info: we received a moldy room, with broken down furniture, stickers on the bed, bad paint jobs, a lot of dust and dirt. I hope other guests will choose to go elsewhere u til this place will get renovated.

The Buccaneer Resort is a Beautiful property with Beautiful beaches and Beautiful views. We have stayed at the Buccaneer each time we have visited St Croix. The Resort has everything you need and the staff are kind, helpful and accommodating.
Each morning there is a breakfast buffet with numerous items to choose from. The restaurants are fantastic for lunch and dinner.
There are numerous activites to choose from - golf, tennis, chess at the beach, water sports to name a few. Literally, a person doesn't have to leave the resort. The Buccaneer has everything.
But, If you do want to venture around the Island sightseeing, scuba diving, snorkeling at the Pier, shopping or dining out - everything is pretty close. Point Udall, Christiansted, Frederiksted, Buck Island are a few places to check out.
We enjoy The Buccaneer and like the location.

The views from the room were beautiful. We didn’t get a single smile or greeting from any of the staff. We did get 4 big palmetto bugs in our room, no entertainment. Boring

The Buccaneer Resort is beautiful.The Rum Punch my husband and I received at check -in was exquisite. The property was well maintained. The location, the staff and food was perfect.We stayed in room 205 Ocean View. The host were always friendly and delivered service with a smile. My husband and I was born and raised in St.Croix (Me/Fredriksted & Him/Frangipani).
My husband and I took our two teenagers 16 and 14 We were visting from San Francisco. One of their highlights were the complimentary breakfast buffet which had many choices.
This is their most memorable trip to the island by far.The memories will definitely last us a life time. We were so sad to leave, but will definitely be back.
This was a 5-STAR experience and vacation.

This was our second trip to The Buccaneer to celebrate our 41st wedding anniversary. It was as idyllic as the first visit. The owner, Elizabeth Armstrong, has created a work culture where staff at every contact point and level are very helpful and hospitable, indeed they seem to delight in being cheerful. Dining at the Terrace and Mermaid restaurants was excellent. The beach was clean and tidy. We also enjoyed shopping at the boutique and gift shop. A splendid and memorable anniversary vacation.

Very kind staff. Except for the lady at the beach who asked me if I am sure I was staying there and for my room number like 3 times. I am definitely returning though. I wish they would add a bit more local dishes to their menu. Food is expensive, didn't know I had to pay a utility fee lol.

Everything was great. The only thing is concerning the dining. Wish there was more tropical fruit at the Breakfast Buffet and better selection at the Terrace restaurant for Dinner. Catch of the day was the same for several nights and then they were out of the other specials. Quality of the food was great.

I didn't like how expensive the one-way taxi ride from the airport to the Buccaneer, which was $40.00 per person for an 8-mile distance! On my departure from the resort to the airport I was charged $70.00!!

Our room was considered luxury I’m afraid not the furniture was old undated the air conditioner was so loud unbearable the bathroom toilet was for a two year old so low to the ground
No microwave the tiniest of micro fridge bed was not bad the pillows again so small
This was no luxury room for 5 guest
