Overall we had a great stay! Something’s to keep in mind: 1) Although most locations are open, all of Acapulco is still recovering from hurricane Otis, which means, a lot of construction around the area creating traffic jams throughout the day. 2) Emporio had multiple electrical outages that don’t last long but that means if you’re staying past the 1st floor, prepare to take the flight of stairs to your room and to get back down to the lobby. 3) Hotel room pictures online are pre hurricane Otis - the rooms will not be as clean and must utilities in the room are old: towels, iron, ironing board, old furniture, old appliances, old towels, to name a few. 4) Prepare to have something not working in your room - from AC possibly going in n out or completely broken to remote control needing batteries. 5) Every person checking in must wear a green bracelet and must keep it on throughout the whole stay. The highlight of this hotel is the LOCATION and SERVICE. Although there were multiple cons to the stay the staff is very attentive and will do their best to accommodate all requests. Everyone is kind and patient and greet you with a smile. There are multiple shops and restaurants as well as Sub Acá for all water activities (kayak, paddle boarding..). The hotel also has happy hour Fridays from 9pm-10pm and live music from 9pm-midnight. Hopefully this review was informative to help prepare you for your visit at emporio. Very great experience so attentive, fresh new towels everyday and cleaning was done everyday. Came back to hotel to clean room. Would most definitely book with El Emporio next time I go. 10/10 would recommend a stay here

I didn’t like that people at the pool were acting like if they were in a low class club , singing and screaming without any respect for other guests, and the hotel administrators didn’t care or say anything to them , I don’t think am going back .

Beds smelled disgusting, like musty. The beds had ZERO support. As soon as my kids would lay ( 4 & 7) the mattress would sink. The AC was terrible! I called in to get it fixed, and I was told it would work. Never did. I would never stay here for the amount of money they charge. Avoid avoid avoid at all cost.

The A/C in the room didn't work. The first they sent the maintenance guy 4 times, and it didn't work, the next day no A/C at all. They said the A/C wasn't working at all. The view was amazing, the front desk, the restaurant, the pool area people, they were all friendly and fast service.

AC did not work. We got moved 2 times to different rooms and all AC did not work. At the balcony the reals were loose. Scary to lean on it.

Too crowded, elevator didn’t work,, valet parking needs more personnel, other than that, is a good hotel in an excelente location.
