The Movie Colony Hotel never ever disappoints. The staff go out of their way to make you feel at home and the HISTORIC OLD HOLLYWOOD VIBE always makes me feel like I’m starring in the 1940’s MUSICAL with GINGER ROGERS and poor Fred Astaire just gets to watch!!! There is always an old classic film playing in the office area and the furniture is not only beautiful, but surprisingly comfortable so I always take a break to enjoy everything VINTAGE AND AUTHENTIC.The rooms are spacious and designed by some of the world’s greatest architects and the prices are so fair you really feel lucky to be staying at THE MOVIE COLONY HOTEL.

Check in is the next door sister property , easy parking access . Jacuzzi water wasn’t hit . The AC is right next to the bed so whoever is next to it , it will blow cold air straight to their face.

We loved the fact it was adult only. Made for a very lovely quiet stay. Absolutely loved the decor! We will make that our go to place to stay from now on. Although our stay was too short to be able to join in on the wine & cheese get together, and the continental breakfast - just know, our next stay will include those options. Don & Sher

I’ve been here several times now and it’s become my go-to place. Always a great experience.

AC didnt work in a gew of the rooms. It was 114° in palm spring that week. The pool was warm because there was no shade. Would not stay here again.

The Colony was an amazing stay. I really liked the staff’s hospitality and their breakfast options in the morning. Their pool is really nice as well. Its around a lot of places, easy to walk around.

I’ve been wanting to stay in this hotel for years and finally took the chance to. This hotel is very comfortable, quiet and relaxing. A classic Palm Springs hotel with classic mid modern century design, I highly appreciated. The service was great, front desk and cleaning team were extremely helpful and welcoming. I got to admit, the room I had could have some improvements. The pillows were flat, water kept coming out of the shower so the bathroom mat kept getting wet, the closet door wouldn’t open all the way as the floor was a little warped and the WiFi hardly worked where I was staying. If I were staying longer this would’ve been a huge issue, but I let it slide as I only stayed for a short time.

Little gem of a hotel, easy check inn we did arrive a bit early and our room was just about ready, very friendly and relaxed, loved the little areas around the pool. Great view from the balcony over the pool and palm trees with the mountains in the distance, retro music playing at the pool into the evening- fantastic my feet would not keep still, perfect distance for strolling into town. Continental breakfast in the morning , yogurt,cereal, bagels, toast, juice & coffee. We would definitely stay here again if we found ourselves in the area, sadly it was a flying visit this time.

Finally, we read the notice at the door which directed us to go to a hotel down the road. there we obtained the room key. there were several deficiencies with the room. The booking price included continental breakfast. There was no such think (again, no staff onsite). Never never never again. Uwe

Awesome property. Close to many restaurants. Approximately 15 minute walk to main area of North Palm Canyon. Pool and hot tub were very nice. Continental breakfast and wine and cheese in the late afternoon. Staff were awesome and very helpful. We will definitely stay here again!
