When we checked in the computer had a glitch so it took a long time person checking us in was very good and tried her best there was a large gathering of people waiting for an event in the meeting room. The were loud and were scattered between the lobby and dining area all of the parking spaces were full with their cars layout of the room was poor coffee pot was on the very small vanity and was rusted out on the bottom shower got the bathroom floor wet.

The staff was not friendly. The main housekeeper rolled her eyes at me when I could not figure out how to work the bathtub faucet. I was kind to her but she was not understanding or cordial. The front desk staff did not take our complaint seriously when we explained the mildew smell in our room and sofa bed issue. The sofa bed was at an incline and did not sit on top of frame correctly.

I've stayed here plenty of times and had no problem with my room. But, this time was different. The room smelled bad! Like dirty mop water and cigarettes. Even though, the room was supposed to be "smoke free". The people above us were annoying! They made noise throughtout the day and night! A lot of jumping and whatever else they were doing was going on nonstop! Then, we had a face towel that smelled terrible! The first towel I picked up to wash my hands with! It was supposed to be clean, right?! It smelled so bad, i was thinking about throwing it away! They ran out of wash towels one day. So, i had to take a shower with a big towel! I will be getting another hotel next time I go to Tyler.

We have stayed at this location numerous times and the staff/personnel are always friendly and provide great service. Our room has always been very comfortable. This stay our room had a musty/damp smell and our tub/shower drain was backed up. Personnel was still excellent!

The sheets had not been changed in out room and when we called the front desk to get new sheets put on he stated he was not able to change the sheet because housekeeping was gone for the day. I stated that that was not satisfactory and he said sorry nothing he could do. We ended up sleeping on top of the covers with a throw blanket from the car.

As usual, Choice hotel with pool out of service, mold in bathroom. Staff is fine, it’s (as usual) items mgmt neglects. If your pool is out of service for extended time this should be mentioned in ALL booking platforms. Could have/should have stayed somewhere else for less
