We loved this charming hotel and its garden. The staff was amazing and eager to give recommendations.
The room we booked had a bathtub without the option to use as a shower. Not sure if it’s the case for all the rooms.
We would absolutely stay there again on another visit. Big bonus to have parking on premises.

VERY tight turn into very narrow driveway to hidden parking lot. Lovely garden and building. We were last guests to arrive and were given an attractive garden room separate from main building. Very nice. Radiator heating, effective but confusing to operate towel heater, and another one of those showers with a half door. Old but attractive and well maintained furniture. Very narrow street so exceptional care required when leaving on foot…other than that location excellent. Great shower, other than missing door, with tile seat and good controls. Comfy bed and pillows. No handy USB outlets adjacent bed nightstand. We’d definitely stay again.

Le Clos d'Amboise is a beautiful hotel. Our family room was spacious and extremely comfortable, with fantastic amenities. There is a lovely pool and garden area and the restaurant is special. The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly. Also walking distance to all of the sights of Amboise. If heading to the Loire Valley, highly recommend this hotel.

Hotel is really not four star. Rooms are small. Room service is incredibly restricted and not appealing. We booked a comfort room, but we were in a small attic room I can't see how that categorisation was justified.
Having said that, Restaurant is good, though not great for a long stay as casual eating is not possible and menu never changes.
The hotel claims it is accessible for disabled visitors but this is a fiction, it is not possible to access by wheelchair.

Very lovely house! Excellent service and very friendly stuff! We felt like home! Room was clean and spacious! King size comfy bed! Excellent continental breakfast with big variety of food! Property has a swimming pool! Clean and in beautiful surroundings with greenery!!! Plus nice lawn and flowers around!!!

This property is beautiful! The staff is friendly and helpful. The location is fantastic, walkable to everything Amboise had to offer.
The room itself is older and given the climate there was the general feeling of moisture in the air. Towels stayed a bit damp through the day and we needed windows for fresh air at night (we stayed in late May, and there were rain showers amidst the heat).
That didnt take away from the charm, just know its an older building and with that means you get the character and the well loved worn feeling.
Beds were very firm. Heard older guests raving about them, but they were a bit too hard for my comfort.

Our stay here was amazing. Great location to visit the sites in the Loire Valley. Our hostess Anne was very gracious and accommodating to our every need. The food she prepared was healthy and delicious!

This was a good property to base our visit in Amboise. The property was pretty with a beautiful garden. Unfortunately we could not enjoy that enough since it was rainy and a little cold. Staff was excellent, and we got a good but pricey breakfast every morning. The main negative was that the picture of the room was not representative of what we got. It showed a large room with a sofa but our room barely was enough space for us to move around in.

A lovely hotel, just a short walk from the town centre, castle etc. Restaurant food was good - had tasting menu. Staff very friendly and helpful. Dog friendly even in the restaurant. So many good places to eat in the town aswell. Quiet relaxing gardens.
