The room did not have a TV. There were no vending machines on the facility so the only way to get a soda is when the bar is open. The area between the airport and the town was OK. The town itself was not bad - I never felt unsafe - there were cops patrolling. As you walk towards the VF bridge, it looks like a garbage dump and stinks of sewage / The Zambia side was better. As a walker you were constantly accosted to buy this or that nicknack or hire a taxi, sometimes these guys would stikc with you for 5 minutes. Customs was always very professional. The room had skeeter curtains, they were marginally affective, make sure you spray yourself against skeets. (I think I picked up malaria). When you pay for an attraction (heli-ride, rainforest, etc) you are safe. Recommend staying on the Zambia side, I will never return to this dump (literally)

Highly recommended for a quiet relaxing holiday. Easy access to attractions especially the Victoria Falls and other attractions in the area and surround.

Very central and easy access to brewery, distillery, craft markets, central town and even easy walk to the falls. It’s a large site with many rooms, breakfast can be full but always lots of food and good service.

The hotel is beautiful and the staff are incredible!! Everyone is so kind and helpful. The food is excellent at the restaurant and the rooms are decorated beautifully. Beautiful pool and grounds. Highly recommend

Nice hotel but unable to book drinks etc to room everything has to be paid straight away. Room has no fridge,also we had a bottle of our own wine we wanted drink in our room and staff would not loan me a corkscrew. The swimming pools were spotless and warm.

Excellent resort for a visit to Victoria Falls and attraction in the surrounding area. Good breakfast. Local tour and transportation booking office. Friendly staff. Very few mosquitoes during daylight hours. Once in room, only had to contend with a few tiny ants and gnats. One downside is that there are no chairs or desk in the room to work on. They also could provide a few more hangers, than the 5 we had. Overall excellent. Would stay again.

Loved it. Great staff. Very friendly and helpful. AMAZING STAY! as a solo traveler (woman) I stayed here for 9 days and it was incredible! the service was BEYOND AMAZING! the people! the place is so beautiful, clean and close by! would definitely recommend it!!!!!!!!

Whenever I find myself in Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe I would choose Shearwater over and over again. A wonderful and serene hotel with good food, nice and hospitable workers and best tours. I enjoyed my stay and would surely recommend Shearwater without hesitation

The room was very comfortable, despite the spiders! There is no TV or fridge, but I managed. The only difficulty I encountered was with the staff and being charged twice for a transfer. The hotel said it was a miscommunication but didn't seem to know the general rule whereby the hotel bears the cost of that. They tried to offload it to me. But ultimately relented. It left a sour taste. The breakfast was good. The pool is very nice.
