Beautiful hotel, good location, excellent service if anything too intentive with looking after the room
Only downfal was the shower ran from the bath taps and the shower screen was by fold and didnt wanna stay in place but im being picky, but then when its 5 star i suppose you can be

I had a lovely time staying in this excellent hotel. The food was great and all the staff were incredibly helpful and friendly.

I took my parents to Amsterdam as part of a long-anticipated trip. My mom has been wanting to come to Amsterdam for years and the Grand Amrath was a wonderful place to call home base for the week. I actually made a booking mistake - I forgot the date change flying from the US to The Netherlands. Our reservation wound up being canceled because I didnt realize my mistake until our layover in Reykjavik. But I explained my error to the front desk and they had us rebooked and sorted in a matter of minutes. Humphrey and Julia helped me avoid a nightmare! Also, the hotel breakfast buffet is delicious. A little pricey, but food has lots of fresh bread, fruits, meats and cheeses. So worth it. The central location of the hotel also made it easy for us to move through our packed itinerary.

Great hotel with excellent facilities, staff really helpful. Complimentary mini bar and chocolates on pillow every night is a nice touch.
The beds are huge and extremely comfortable and the spa was lovely to relax in after the busy day out.

Close to city centre and perfect for tourist weekend. Bit quirky design being in a historic refurbished building, lobby is very small and bit of a rabbit warren to get to the rooms. Has everything one needs. Great that it has a spa and gym.

The SPA is very nice with plenty of choice in ways to relax!
Staff very friendly and helpful. Courteous and genuinely happy to help with any enquiries, also gave some great recommendations for places to visit.
Room was big, clean and had everything you need.

really liked our hotel and they had a open bar with some snacks!

Breakfast buffet is exceptional. Everything so fresh and well cooked. I’m a vegetarian and options are clearly marked with endless choices. Very comfortable beds. Housekeeping twice a day with little treats. Staff are very friendly and nothing is too much trouble. I will definitely stay here again

We stayed 3 nights in 2 different reservations. The first night was good. But the 2nd and 3rd night were terrible in room #5. We tried to move rooms but were unable to. When checking out, I also shared this discomfort and they said they receive a lot of complaints in this room. It is located next to the service elevator and all of the carts bang against the wall where the bed is located. We did not sleep in this loud, vibrating room.
