The staff were very friendly. We enjoyed the free tea and coffee and the breakfast was filling.
The air conditioning in the room chilled.it quickly.
Only concern was that the building work on it started early in the morning.

What a bargain. Super friendly staff, nice pool, and close to the beach. Breakfast tipico was great. We felt safe and welcome. Our room was…. Rustic. But it got the job done.

Excellent value. Staff very friendly and helpful.
Apologetic for construction to repair apparent storm damage. Will definitely be coming back to stay again for a longer stretch. Very close to beach and downtown.

Decent place to stay for a couple of nights a short walk to the beach and town
Good breakfast included and nice to have complimentary tea and coffee available throughout the day

Nice breakfast with help-yourself coffee. Super staff. Peaceful central gathering area and pool. Perfect location surrounded by plenty of dining, beach, grocery, tour, misc options. Had a wonderful time!

Pension Playa Sámara is wonderful! Low-key, a short walk from town center and the beach. Well-run and welcoming. Not fancy but definitely pura vida.

This hotel was very basic but very nice and served the purpose for the price. The rooms were big and clean. There was hot water, which we found out was not common everywhere in Costa Rica. The property was beautiful and the staff was very nice and accommodating. I needed a hair dryer and the girl at the reception gave me hers to use. That was super nice! We asked for blankets since it got chilly with the AC and they provided us with them. Anything we needed and asked for was given to us! Breakfast options were limited but delicious, so no complains there. The hotel was only a block away from the beach and we walked everywhere. Overall, we had very good experience and were glad we stayed there!

Rooms are pretty rustic with thin walls and shades on only some of the windows. Door lacked a deadbolt. Only had a twist lock on the knob so didn’t feel terribly secure. Staff were friendly. Street parking is easy and there is an excellent restaurant right around the corner with solid breakfast and dinner options.

We loved this hotel. The staff was amazing, the room had AC, the breakfast was delicious. We would highly recommend this location to young couples or relaxed travellers!
