I hired the family room with 4 beds for a few nights and was pleasantly surprised. After staying at a similar spot last trip and being let down, I was expecting more of the same but was pleased overall upon checking in. The Almond Inn had a good central location to Peel St and other shops and eateries. As for the room, semi outdated decor but I will say the beds were super comfortable, but as there were 4, it felt like the beds were jammed in and not a lot of movement space. I could see the appeal in a 2 bed room with the comfort level and a little more space. Cleanliness was an 8/10. The shower pressure was average. Not the worst I've had in a hotel but not the best either. It did the job though. The only other minor irritating thing was the curtain over the small sized window. It was a thin see through material, there was nothing that could block out the light coming in. Had to improvise with a spare blanket. All in all, solid 3/5. Served it purpose nicely. Would stay again if I needed a room for more people and was looking to stick to the budget.

Liked how it is pet friendly, Good size for family in two bedrooms for the price. ($340) for 4 adults, 2 rooms and share bathroom. Bad thing is - in kitchen there was no thong’s and no egg lifter, No washing up cloth, and only one face washer for whole family to use. And sadly there’s some cockroaches, their dropping in cupboards and draws. How hard is it to clean in cupboards and cobwebs?. King size bed in room 18 is so amazing to sleep in. Can use subtitles on their good size tv is also good. Close to everything. So you can see why I score this number

Room was excellent, affordable prices,clean and tidy renovated rooms ,comfy beds , Awesome shower and the owners were lovely and couldnt be more helpful . Definitely staying again in a few weeks time

Was extremely unhappy with booking this accommodation as they cancelled our room booking I made last year. They rang us and said there was a problem with there computer bookings yet they still had our details. Would not recommend this place at all . We lost work and a trip to Tamworth music festival because of them. Still very upset . ☹️

Property is a little tired and could do with renovations. May be some rooms that have been renovated that are pictured, but our room was quite old and in need of a freshen up. Was ok for our one night stay when you just needed a bed to sleep in.

Friendly reception free breakfast convenient location to city centre. Rooms show signs of lots of use maybe a freshen up is due in the near future.

I know there has been quite a few changes of management over the past year or two, so still some work to be done on the grounds. Having stayed in different rooms during that period, we are also aware that some rooms are more updated than others. The new managers seem very good and welcoming.

Almond Inn has been a favorite of country adherents for many years, particularly when owned and conducted by a well known rural family only about a decade ago. despite the age of the buildings the staff were country people and the dining room noted for its excellence. Comfortable although dated it was certainly a home away from home. Now, the staff again are very polite, helpful and considerate and although the restaurant is sorely missed I found my stay better than just reasonable.
