Wonderful little B&B run by John and Pablo. Beautiful room, huge bathroom and a very comfortable bed. Great breakfast and excellent hospitality. Short walk into Newark Town. Remains of the old castle on the river are worth a visit. Lovely river walk.

A very clean, comfortable night’s stay. Clean, crisp white bedding, slept so well. It’s a Grade II listed Georgian building. Perfectly cooked breakfast with very personal touches. Loved the interior decor and furniture very tastefully done. Garden to the rear is stunning. Pablo and John are so hospitable and the attention to detail is very evident. Fantastic stay at The Lion. Hosts where magnificent...helped us with taxis and check-in logistics as we were attending a wedding in Kelham. Rooms were spacious and clean, and the breakfast was brilliant. Cannot praise them enough!

Fantastic stay. Luxury stay with the comfort of home. Most enjoyable stay and would stay again. Nothing too much trouble and flexible breakfast time.

Absolutely brilliant- delicious breakfasts, gracious friendly hosts, beautiful room with tea/coffee making facilities. The garden was delightful Only thing out of everyone’s control was the noise of the traffic outside.
