The history of the building, the modernised bedroom and bathroom, the atmosphere in the pub and dining areas all made this a memorable and comfortable visit.
Very conveniently positioned for train station and Scillonian. Quite a bit of traffic on road below, but it didn’t disturb us very much.

We arrived at 8.30 pm during the Godowan Festival when the pub was very busy but they found us a table and kept the kitchen open late to feed us. Also provided us a great cooked breakfast before the normal time as we had an early ferry. Few hotels would have been so flexible, friendly and accommodating.
