Great location and staff was friendly. Restaurant bar and pool on site with beach, perfect match. As a place to sleep and launch from this is perfect. Bungalow could use updating. Staff in office, bar/ restaurant were great and very helpful in our next adventure on the island.

Bungalows under renewal. Many nice features and some improvements occurring. Great beach, bar, food, and a super fun island to visit. We will revisit soon!

Fantastic views and the trees and bushes were all trimmed and neat. Bungalow was very nice just enough room and kitchenware for two. Staff were all friendly. Could use some updating. We'll be coming back for sure though, updating or not.

RESERVATIONS – Due to a software glitch (don’t book on high volume days), 3 reservations were made in 15 minutes—I immediately cancelled two within the hour. Bungalows on the Bay (BoB) verified two were cancelled, but did not return our money!!! They did not answer a week of emails, so we had to have Expedia contact them (they had problems also) to get our $5K back. Over a week of sleepless nights to straighten this out. POOL - it was a CESSPOOL. All 10 days there were diving beetles and other bugs LIVING in the water, and a thick growth of algae on the sides and corners. I never saw anyone vacuum it. Some days the water was entirely green (yet still open with people in it). If there is algae in a pool it eats up all the chlorine and the pool is unsanitary—it was not safe to be in the entire vacation ROOMS – we booked a 400 square foot room, but were put in a 225 square foot room, Cabin 5. A huge downgrade (BAIT AND SWITCH?). We had already moved in, put groceries in the horribly rusty refrigerator, and wiped the room down with Lysol wipes when we noticed how small it was. We didn’t want to waste a half day of vacation arguing with the office and packing and moving to a room that may be worse. 4 cockroaches.

Liked the seclusion and privacy but the facilities could use some improvement, for example pool and beach area needed more seating, advertised marine toys were limited or non-existent, better have GPS to find the place. All over nice place would consider again.

Good east end location. Easy to get to and away from the crowds. The owners are remolding and the layout and location are a winner. It’s not a fancy, high end place but, that’s the whole point. Because of the size and concentration of amenities, you’ll probably make some new friends seeing the other guests often.

Run down Nothing like the advertising photos on the property

This property reminded me of a Girl Scout camp that has cabins and is kept up by volunteers. Many of the reviews say the place is being renovated. It makes me wonder what it was like before their “renovations”. From the huge dead roach on the floor behind the bed, the blinds that were scotch taped to the front door, to the paint on the floor in the bathroom, the dirty windows, the splitting wood and peeling paint on the front porch, the rocking chair on the porch that had a slate missing to the stained - stained - stained cushion covering the missing slate on the rocking chair. Did I mention the first room they put me in still had food in the refrigerator, dirt on the floor and literally a full drawer missing. They told me they knew the drawer was missing and added the room was under construction. I asked them why they would put a guest in a room that was under construction but they didn’t say anything after that. The ceiling fan in the second bungalow didn’t work and the sink was dirty as well as the light above the cabinets were fluorescent bulbs with no cover. In the second room there was someone’s leftover beer in the freezer. Needless to say I left early. It turned me off to the whole island.

Needs upgrades. It is in poor condition. A lot of rot on porches . pluming ect. It is a great sit lots to do on site. They are trying to fix up but along way to go.

Nice location and they had nightly events (performers, bingo, karaoke, etc.). I'm hoping the new owners will work on refreshing everything. Things are a bit run down and broken. We could have used another nightstand or table. We didn't have a table on the porch or in the room, so eating at our room was difficult.

The staff was very welcoming and really made you feel at home. Never had an empty glass and the food was great. The bungalows were very clean and had everything you needed.

My new island favorite!! Wish I had found this place sooner!! Owners are wonderful and are making this lil place a gem!
