The property and service was outstanding!!!

The Santiago is one of the best places where my husband and I have had to pleasure of staying. From the beautiful cactus gardens and many palm trees to the tasteful pool area furnishings, the overall impression is of quiet, relaxing luxury. The rooms are also furnished with a very comfortable bed, very nice bath amenities, and tasteful art photography.
The free breakfast and lunch are a standout feature which enabled us to stay on-property and feel more like we had “moved in” for the duration of our stay.
The service from the staff is unfailingly friendly and accommodating.
All that is missing is a bar to serve wine or cocktails to enjoy poolside. We would have also liked to have been able to view newscasts (CNN, etc.), which are not available on the television system in the rooms.
We recommend the Santiago without reservation and recommend it highly. We will come back here on our next trip to Palm Springs!

As far as gay resorts go, this place is among the best in town. Big rooms, comfy beds.. everything you'd expect from a high end establishment

We had the best time at this property! We came to Palm Springs for coachella and this resort was the perfect way to relax before, during, and after all the fun! It’s close to downtown and tons of restaurants. Most of the bars are also conveniently located near by! We will def be back next year!

I have stated here a few times and enjoy the atmosphere. If you don’t choose the right room, it can be a bit noisy in the evening hours. Staff was very attentive and accommodating. Checkout is at 11am, but during my recent visit, while laying at pool, they came in and serviced my room for next guest before I even checked out. They never changed my sheets and makes me wonder now if my sheets were clean. I will still return but made sure management was informed .

Great hotel / resort They had everything you could need And the staff were friendly and the manager Kent was super. I would definitely stay here again. The only area of improvement would be to better sound proof the rooms. Especially the second story room floors. Other than that it was perfect.

Maybe I came during the wrong time. Little interaction between groups, probably because of covid. Could be fun but the vibe was off when I visited. Rooms are average, nothing i haven't seen elsewhere. Definately needs something new. Located a few minutes from restaurants and bars so a car(or rideshare) is necessary. Definately a miss for me since I like to walk and stay active.

It was wonderful I enjoyed the vibes and and scenery around the hotel the room was very comfortable and clean. I was looking forward to the jacuzzi and I fortunately for me it was out of identity whole trip and was the main reason I picked Santiago. I am happy with the staff they are very friendly and welcoming and provide top quality service. I recommend if ever in Palm Springs this is the place to stay.

I just can’t think of any criticism. Not one fault I can think of and I usually look at thinks with a critical eye wondering how I’d do things differently. Can’t think of anything I would change. A beautiful redo of a property from another era, so bathroom is small by today’s standards, but not uncomfortable. Pool is huge and heated.

The Santiago is always a great experience. We have stayed there several times. The service is consistent, the staff is very friendly, and the property is very well maintained. Also included are a light breakfast and lunch. Kent and his team are always friendly and helpful. The recent renovations have even elevated experience.

We've stayed at the Santiago twice now. Once last summer, and the second time just last weekend.
This past weekend seemed slightly busier.
At 3pm (check-in time), the batch of guests leaving and the batch of guests just arriving were all there at the property at the same time.
When we checked the Cantina (free snack bar) at around 4pm or so (an hour after check-in), it was already low on certain items. They had plenty of other snacks, but they were basically out of my favorite snack/drink when I'm there (a Perrier and a cookie). They had 1 Perrier and 2 cookies left. So I only got to enjoy that once during the stay. We like our munchies.
There are a lot of really nice things about the Santiago. It's probably (among) the nicest/swankiest clothing-optional gay resort you'll find in the area (based on our limited experience of staying at 3 of these resorts).
That said, they are usually the most expensive of the clothing-optional gay resorts.
While it is expensive, we've chosen to stay at the Santiago (twice) because it's renovated, it's got a calm and cool (maybe even romantic) vibe, and honestly, the Cantina and free lunch the next day.
BTW, we didn't get our lunch either. We had to check out by 11am per rules, but lunch doesn't come until 1230/1pm. We couldn't wait that long and were hoping to take our lunches to go so we can get on the road before traffic gets bad.
It would be perfect if the Cantina is always fully-stocked and check-out is after lunch.
