These 10 cottages (four duplexes, a studio cottage, and one standalone home) give you all sorts of local history and plenty of space for reconnecting in a beautiful and convenient island setting.
The Fort Casey Inn dates back to 1909, with its cottages once serving as quarters for non-commissioned officers at neighboring Fort Casey. Today, the adjacent Fort Casey State Park is one of the prettiest spots on Whidbey Island, with its bunkers and batteries, a lovely lighthouse, driftwood-strewn beaches, and awe-inspiring sunset views of the Olympic Mountains across the water. You can walk to the Coupeville Ferry Dock (which connects to Port Townsend) and drive to the Ebey's Landing Bluff Trail (three miles) and picturesque downtown Coupeville (four miles) in a matter of minutes. As part of the inn, you'll enjoy access to grills and picnic tables on the grounds. The meeting space at Garrison Hall is even available for gatherings and retreats.
This listing is for the entire inn and its 19 bedrooms. Cottages 1-8 are housed in four buildings, each one a duplex. Each cottage has a covered front porch looking out toward Puget Sound, a living room, a well-equipped kitchen, one bathroom, and two bedrooms spread out across two stories. Throughout the cottages you'll find all sorts of simple charms, from black-and-white tile floors to coffered ceilings.
Cottage 9 stands apart as a simpler studio, with its living space on one floor. It offers a combined sleeping/living space, a small kitchenette, and a bathroom. Cottage 10, known as The Doctor's House, is a standalone building featuring a front porch, a living room, a kitchen, one bathroom, and two bedrooms.
Throughout the inn, you'll be free of the distractions of TV. There is, however, complimentary WiFi to keep you as connected as you'd like.

There is no washer/dryer.
All guests shall abide by Vacasa’s good neighbor policy and shall not engage in illegal activity. Quiet hours are from 10:00 p.m. to 8:00 a.m.
No smoking is permitted anywhere on the premises.
Parking notes: There is free parking available for 10 vehicles.
Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.
