2023 Notice: The owners of Sun Dial 33 have recently installed new LVT tile throughout the condo – just in time for the 2023 summer vacation rental season. The photos and virtual tour are up-to-date to show this renovation.
Sun Dial 33 is a three-bedroom, two-bath oceanfront condo located 0.9 miles north of Garden City Pier. This unit features a fully-equipped kitchen complete with microwave and dishwasher, and also includes private furnished and covered porch, washer, dryer, and central heat and air conditioning. Other amenities include two Smart TVs (cable), DVD player, telephones, and Wi-Fi. Sleeping accommodations include one queen and four twin-sized beds, plus a port-a-crib for infants and small children. This unit has a third floor loft bedroom. Common area features include swimming pool and direct beach access from sun deck. Sun Dial does not provide pool furniture. No elevator. No trailers. This is a third floor unit. No pets. No smoking. Maximum occupancy: 8

Conveniently located close to some of the best area attractions, Garden City Beach is directly south of Surfside Beach and ends on a peninsula at the mouth of Murrells Inlet. One of the most renowned attractions in Garden City Beach is the Pier at Garden City. The sundial is in a great location and everything was good. Wish there was a way to get to the pool/beach area with out those spiral stairs.the property was clean and decent condition however the electrical sockets are all coming out of the wall which seems dangerous.

This was a relatively nice unit, but there are signs that TLC in the unit is needed. It really seems like a unit that no owner has recently visited, because otherwise many of these things would have been taken care of. For example - there are multiple drawers missing handles. The couch and dining room area furniture is nice, but the rest it quite old. The pool is very nice and the location is great. I would note the need to be very cautious with the back stairs. They are tight, and can be slippery. These stairs would not be good for little children or elderly. I wish there was an easy way to get out back without using these stairs.

It was nice, two problems the A/C was not equal, if you tried to get the living room cool the bedrooms were like freezers, the dishwasher needs replacing when open the door goes to the floor, we washed dishes by hand. I did leave my good pillow down there but not going back to get it.we had good time friends that own condo 22 were down.

Sun Dial 33 needs updating:#1 is the furniture in the living room only has a large sofa and it is very dirty and uncomfortable,no chairs of any kind to sit on other than the sofa.#2 kitchen needs new dishwasher.#3when we had to use the furnace itwould come on for maybe 30 seconds and go off and 60 seconds later is would come on again and it would keep doing this when we had to use it.#4 bathrooms need to be updated.#5 the whole place needs to be painted,wallpaper coming apart at the seams in some places.Do not think we would stay in this unit in the future.

The only access to the beach is spiral stairs mounted on rotting decks. There is black mold and uncovered electrical sockets. The property is not safe for toddlers or elderly/handicapped. Appliances also don't work. Pictures make this place look decent but it's patched together and basically falling apart.

My family has been coming to Garden City Beach since 1993 and we have always had wonderful experiences. We have previously stayed at Mariner’s Watch and Sundial. However, this unit was in pretty rough shape. The cabinets were dirty and sticky inside and out, the dishwasher left the dishes dirty after a cycle (we were sure to follow instructions not to put heavily soiled dishes in), the floors left our feet black from walking barefoot on the first day there, the couch and barstools looked dirty, the air vents had a significant amount of dirt and dust around them, and we had several bugs in the unit on our first two days. We also noticed the Wi-Fi would go in and out, it was not reliable at all. My parents and I have stayed in the Sundial numerous times and we have always been so at home there, but this unit was pretty gross. We were excited to see that the Sundial had a 3-bedroom unit to accommodate our recently expanded family, but were quickly disappointed with its current state. I’m not sure where we will stay next year, ideally we would love to return to the Sundial, but likely not unit 33 unless it’s been given some updates and a proper deep clean.

The overall stay at the condo was great. Everything was clean . Except for cups everyone that I took out was dirty in the cupboard. But I washed them B4 an after use.. an the biggest down fall was not being able to use the pool.. this is the 3rd year we have stayed at that condo an only one time was we able to use the pool. So for that reason we will not be booking with sundail in the future we will book with another garden city property.

So we’re to begin, we had a ruff week at are vacation rental. We had a palmetto “cockroach” infestation spend over 400 dollars in food which 200 of it was ruined by these cockroach we were grossed out mainly because where we live in Pittsburgh having cockroaches is a very dirty and disgusting thing. So anyways we reached out to garden city and they sent someone out immediately to put traps out. Still made for a rough week. garden city also understood are concerns and reimbursed us our food and other things. Overall all we are happy with are happy with Garden City’s response. We would still stay here at the Beach place. Just in hopes the place is pest free.

It was not good at all, the dishwasher drain plugged up the first day, then a couple days later a maintence man came to door to look at the master bath because it was leaking down on the second floor. So the next day he came to fix that and had are bathroom tied up for 2 or 3 hours. The carpet is dirty throughly the whole condo and the living room wall is like cracking. The couch is very old and wore out. We saw one cockroach In the kitchen counter and then my husband saw two when he opened the sliding to on the patio and he said that they might have went under the carpet. They pool turned my daughter hair green at the ends. The stairs going due. To the pool are in very bad shape. We will never stay at this condo again. Needs updated and cleaned up so bad!!! We have stayed at sone of the other ones before and they were alright. My friend was staying in 32 and there’s was very nice and had nice furniture in it.
