Spacious Room & View

Not what we expected. We hadn’t stayed before but some friends had. The location is good except for the hill up to get back from the port which some may struggle with. The outside areas are ‘tired’ with cracked paving/tiles etc. But what I really didn’t expect was to share my room on two nights with cockroaches in the room. Having disposed of one on the first night and telling reception who offered to spray it at midnight, with me in it, rather than offer me another room. We returned on the second night to another who clearly knew where it was!

Staff at reception were extremely unwelcoming on arrival for a 4 star hotel ...never have I had such an impersonal check in. Room was obviously not cleaned properly..hairs in shower .. rubbish in bin.. debris all over floor. As we were there for a family wedding we did not complain as were under time pressure. One member of bar staff was rude and dishonest..serving incorrect drink - insisting it was correct and attempting to overcharge.

Comfortable beds, housekeeping staff excellent.

Selection and quality of food very poor. Restaurant and bar staff almost without exception were rude and surly.

it’s a very large property and the walk to your room from reception and the restaurant is quite far.

Food not hot, cold plates, food not cooked fresh even when chef was there to cook it! breakfast comprehensive and good but no hot plates Diner all a bit cold and tired Shame as they did try

Allowing people into dining area on Gala night with shorts on. Many not even smart casual. For this reason would not return.

I have stayed here before and like its location, and the spacious green and attractive grounds and pool areas. My room (133) had a really delightful view over mountains, palm trees and sunset. In no way can it be described as a sea view, which I had booked, but once I saw the view in the morning light, I realized it was much nicer than a full sea view, so did not ask to change. It is also a quiet area, though a walk from restaurants etc,

The rooms in this part of the hotel are in need of refurbishment - scuffed and worn furniture and flooring detract from appreciation of the feel of the room. Though pillows were soft, the bed itself was hard and rather bumpy, so not very comfortable.

First impressions absolutely fab...lobby...reception all beautiful breakfast was super...it was buffet everything you could think of was available absolutely brilliant

Rooms just OK....I expected more after what we saw in reception....two receptionists I felt not really helpful...maybe language barrier...we ordered a taxi to go back to puerto del carmen waited an hour...requested to recall and receptions answer was their busy!!!!!....my daughter married on harbour booked 2 taxis no sign...approached reception booked for hour later than needed!!!!!....
