Very great staff and a nice enjoyable Hotel

There’s breakfast was the best part of my stay. It was plentiful, hot with a variety of items to choose from.

I didn’t like the smell of the liquid cleaner used on the floor in my room. Room 131. I slipped as I entered. It was wet and greasy. The floor cleaner had a very overpowering smell of air freshener. Could be it was spilled. I started to struggle with my breathing due to the strong smell, and had to ask Reception to please change rooms. Changed rooms at 12:midnight without any hassles. Then at 1 am a dog started barking- a few doors down. I didn’t know this was a hotel for dogs as well. It barked for a good 30 minutes before I left my room to investigate where it was coming from. I was in Room 137 and it was scratching and barking from room 139.it was clear no one was in the room with it. I then went to reception at 1am to report the barking. It continued for another 45 minutes as no one was in the room. I left my room again and recorded the dog barking on video. By now I was completely exhausted and ready to check out. I had been travelling all day- I just needed to be able to sleep. I tried to cover my ears with pillows. Then the owner returned to her room. The dog quieted down. About 40 minutes after arriving to her room-139- she’s entered the hall cursing and swearing and using profanity to someone on her speaker phone. It was abusive and loud. I’m not sure what time after 3 am I fell asleep- but it was out is sheer exhaustion. I had to be up early to get to where I was going before the big storm hit. On just a few hours sleep- I was worried about how long I would be able to drive. A very disappointing stay and I asked for a refund. The 2 adults at Reception told me their Mansger agreed and approved my request. I was told they would contact Booking.com , to get a complete refund for me. I’m awaiting that refund as I type this.

No hot water , couldn’t shower !!!! Noise…. front desk stated 10pm but kids everywhere yelling &!screaming till midnight
