Bath tub and shower was broken. . And Lots of noise from the water pressure.

Building and room were old with a recent attempt at freshening up the room with new bed linens. BUT I should have taken the sign at reception seriously - no refunds after check-in - and gone with my gut feeling and not paid and checked in. Room smelt incredibly bad; mould and damp and mustiness. I’m asthmatic so cannot tolerate damp. Also Merritt is in the interior of BC and is semi-arid/desert not temperate rainforest rain like Vancouver. Hotels here should not be damp! We immediately left and went to find another hotel. So that night in Merritt cost me double! I got a room at a three/four star chain hotel that was nicer and cheaper than this property.

Smell: overwhelming smell of wet, damp, and mould. Probably musty damp carpets - felt clammy to the touch - damp soft furnishings ect. Bed was very soft, saggy and lumpy. Air conditioning old, so very loud and rattling. Kitchenette was old and showed a lot of signs of wear. The pool area looked super old and dingy with mouldy bits. Really surprised this hotel is on Booking.Com. Feel very let down by the site.

dark coloured rooms and bedding. sound proofing between ground and upper floor non existent. upper floor guest was up and about at 5am and we could hear him / her through until 7am.

There is a home restaurant right next to the hotel - convenient for breakfast, etc.

The hotel is older and looks like a 1970's place inside the room.

Have stayed at this hotel before under previous ownership. This booking I believed Breakfast was advertised as included but when we arrived were told they were not providing any longer. Disappointing

We were travelling with 2 kids (5 & 7) and the pool was superb. The beds were very comfortable and the AC kept the room really comfortable even in the midst of a heatwave. Having Home Restaurant right across from our room was really convenient and their food was delicious.
