Great place to stay

Nothing all new

Lovely vintage building with modern conveniences. It had character without sacrificing comfort. Location is great, right in town near the harbor. Free parking a great perk in the middle of town.

No breakfast, but that was minor.

The room and view were beautiful

The room was large, clean and had amazing views.

The air conditioner was so loud it kept us awake all night.🥱😠

Parking was limited

The location is excellent and the parking was greatly appreciated. The room was bigger than expected and very pleasantly appointed. I loved the big windows with the privacy shutters.

I missed the breakfast room which I remembered from previous stays and being able to have breakfast in-house. Although I had a good breakfast close by, I very much prefer not having to go searching for it.

Well maintained and very 20th century - nothing modern except the WiFi. Fabulous views over the harbour and really quiet too

Perhaps a little too formal in style. I’m not used to Canadian hotels so this might be what I need to expect

Large airy room, sufficiently quiet, not a lot of flat surfaces but passable, not a lot of outlets (historic property), but sufficient. Good WiFi and plumbing, mini fridge, armoire, good AC, or could open windows (screened). Pretty clean. Elevator. Central location (can go up to more shops & restaurants, or down to harbourfront area: hotel is centrally located side-to-side as well). Spa has good reviews but is booked a month+ out. Parking was across the street and in sight from room.

A restaurant might be convenient for some, but there were great places a short walk all around, even for breakfast. Was not a problem, but Lunenburg downtown is laid out in terraced streets, so to fully see the town you need to ascend and descend, Parking could be better lit at night. However, my issues are rather with Booking.com. As Triple Genius (their highest membership level), and previously satisfied long-term member, it seems that during the pandemic, many changes have occurred at Booking.com, such that being a member has no value. 20% discounts? Never. Free breakfasts: at a premium, and no different than other consolidator sites. Priority support? I have made many attempts and after passing a month awaiting any material response, I can safely say that's not much of a 'priority'. Free room upgrades? Not once since the pandemic began (and there were plenty of opportunities). Upfront communication of all fees? A rarity. Therefore, you may as well use Booking when it shows up as a good price, but membership effectively has no 'rewards'
