Staff was nice.

I have another rating of this place saying its a 10 and very clean. I stayed literally one week later and it was anything but. The way to our room was dirty, the elevator was nasty, our shower curtain had blood on it. Our beds was very hard and I had major back pain the first time in my entire life. There was a dead rat right out in the parking lot when we arrived. I know what you're thinking...should have left. I wanted to but we got here very late and nothing else was available to us without loosing our money. We slept in beds that were seemingly clean and had new sheets and left.

If you're like me and read all the reviews after booking (🤦) then read this one...the reviews can give you some mixed feelings on the site. The front desk workers were so kind. The room was clean and didn't smell werid at all. The hallways were clean, but a little dim (if that matters to you). The pool looked clean, but we only stayed one night and it was late so we didn't use it. I didn't look at the gym so no input there. The breakfast was one of the best hotel breakfasts I've had for a ordinary hotel. And lastly, the coffee was delicious. It right in the center of everything as well in the town as well. Very pleased 😄

they overbooked the king rooms and gave us a double room. When I questioned them they didn’t care even though we had our booking over a month in advance.

It was satisfactory for type of meal one would expect for getting back on road to travel on to Sandestin fla.

without knowing to location of the Decatur Alabama Hampton inn when driving on a southerly route, it was hard to find in regard to the first exit off I-65 going south.
